Thread: 2 Ideas for an Elite Tanker, please comment.
OK, guys thx for the ideas. My ideas where naive, I've already felt that in the game.
Emo-Kor I see your template is very focused on Dodge + Very Hig def vs. Mods and of course melee def 125 and ranged def 126. I like that template. Having a ranged weaopn is cool to apply bleeds while they runa at you, and efficient, I think. However you eat a lot skill points doing that, is it worth it? It's 54 Skill points to do that. Will you be able to use the apecial attacks you get from pistol efficiently? And is that one of the reson to have pistoleer?
My current idea is more aloong the lines of:
- Master Brawler ( Started using Intimidate after 1h was buyng the best Intimidate/war cry shirt I could lay my hands on, Gotta have it and use it. Lunge1 almost never throws anything down, but I hunted with a master brawler that 1 one lunge2 threw Pikets off their 4 feet. Always! Or at least more than 70% of the time. Gotta love that.)
- Fencer 2/4/0/0 ( Defense and Def vs Mods )
- Teras 4/3/3 ( More defense and Def vs Mods )
- Master Swordsman/Pikeman ( For the different damage types)
- Medic 2/0/0/0 ( Without medic, life is ugly and very much sitting down. Maybe 0/2/0/0 for faster heals? )
- 15 points left over, I like the idea of dancing around Scout/Artisan, Read it form a guy who has MTKA/MDOc and this. Very cool. But of course you could do MTKS with the points or more fencer for the stundamage.
Without the 15 points to further enhance here are the stats: Swordsman/pikeman
Melee Def is 129/139 , Ranged def 107/117 , Def Vs Kd, Posture change 95,90 / 90, 100 , other def vs around 20ish, 30ish
I like this template, with pikeman you could take one more rank from fencer and get 4 skill points. If you decide not to have 15 points for extra options you can up TK to masterTK by removing one rank from medic and then you have Kinetic pounding with Teras, electricty and one more with lance or blast and whateer with swordsman. From what I've seen lances and power hammer really do their job well... and with great defenses no reason with this template couldn't tank a krayt for as long as "humanly" possible.

Almost Master fencer and already punching once in a while.
