Totally Agree.

Bump.

And now for a few other comments for the Devs.

How about a friggin /stick command? How hard is that? Perhaps sony should talk with Turbine before they go out of business and aquire the code for doing this. Its a simple concept. Its been around since Asherons Call ONE. /follow doesnt cut it, you lag too far behind, out of range, and follow the enemy like a sheep, not attacking at all.

How about giving melees some DEFENSE? Yeah, how about that. A melee is trained to be IN combat, not avoiding it like a ranged attacker. They are trained in dodging, blocking, rolling with punches, etc etc. Melee characters should all out be able to take less damage than anyone who isnt a melee character. A mob shouldnt hit a melee for as hard as it hits someone with a pistol. Melee needs the ability to soak/tank damage at LEAST twice as long as a ranged fighter would be able to.

How about giving brawlers a "vitality" skill of some sorts. Something that cuts back on the amount of fatigue and wounds a brawler earns in comparison to other classes when in combat. Since a brawler is pretty much guaranteed to take damage, its only fair in terms of game balance that he doesnt suffer as much as those who can attack well out of harms way (ranged attacks)

How about a leap attack? Lunge is pathetic, the range isnt even worth it. Give us something that we can use from 25 away that puts us right into combat with one attack move.

Give Unarmed a single HAM attack early on.

Not only that, code the system so that it has a random chance of attacking ANY ham bar, but as you beat on one, the chances of continuing to hit that single HAM bar get greater. That way, if its down to 10% health, there is a VERY slim chance that you will switch to action or mind for the next 5 hits.

HAM Drain. Reduce it. I think everyone agrees with this. Brawlers end up "killing" themselves simply by performing a couple of special attacks. Lets be real here.

Special attacks need to make more of a difference. Duration AND effect. Stun isnt noticable. Lunge knocks down, sometimes, but it doesnt seem to delay a creatures attack speed. Berzerk increases our damage, but increases the damage we take. Battles are shorter but we still end up with the SAME amount of wounds that a longer battle would have given us. Time shouldnt be the only element of difference.

If a brawler gets into melee with someone with a ranged weapon, that person should be scared for their life. How about a disarm attack for ALL brawlers? Something that knocks a players rifle/pistol or whatever back into their inventory. No brawler in their right mind is gonna stand there and NOT disarm someone with a rifle, or let them shoot them point blank.

My Unarmed character got killed in TWO shots by a BH with a pistol. We started combat at point blank range. My first attack was an Unarmed combat Stun attack, which hit, but had no noticable effect. I hit once more before I died. The BH hit me with 2 eye attacks doing 400 damage twice to my mind stat. Sorry. This is far beyond unbalanced. This is just unacceptable.

I think all any brawlers are asking for is to be put on an equal playing field, both in PvE and PvP. Sony, you need to getyour gears runningand listen to the players. This game could very likely go the way of AC2 if you dont start TALKING to your customers. The "starwars" hype can only keep the game alive so long. Let it be the great game it has the potential to be, which can ONLY be done by listening to the players.

You are not limited in any way by choosing a brawler profession. You can still be a Pistoller/Carabiner/Rifleman.
Brawler will kill any ranged fighter, if he is close enough.
Can´t reach your enemy? Switch to ranged weapon and kill him. Or maybe try posture changing shots until the other one gone prone and crush him with your pole...

there is really more you can do besides running after your opponents and let you kite.

From the above post

"Brawler will kill any ranged fighter, if he is close enough."

I see you speak from what you PERCIEVE should be the way, but in fact, ISNT.

1st. In pvp, to ask an enemy not to fight until you are close is ludicrous

2nd. In duels, same thing. On the rare occassion someone lets you start in their face, chances are, the first attack they will hit you with is a knockdown, stance change attack button ANY brawler out of commision. Or how about an eye attack that does 400+ damager per shot. 2 hits Dead. No brawler can beat that. 2hand and Polearm hit HARD but are too slow to double or tipple hit kill someone with an eye attack and a fast ranged weapon.

A Brawler SHOULD decimate a marksman in close range combat (melee distance) its that simple. For the same reason, a Marksman should decimate a brawler at range. However, this isnt the case. A marksman can decimate a brawler both at long and short range.

Unarmed brawlers have it even worse, in that they dont even get a special attack that hits one HAM bar for concentrated damage. Their attacks bounce all over between body, mind, and action.

Make a brawler, any brawler, and come duel my buddy who plays a BH pistoleer. He will make you so frustrated that you wasted so many hours earning xp for a class that just downright sucks right now.

"You are not limited in any way by choosing a brawler profession. You can still be a Pistoller/Carabiner/Rifleman"

This is such a cop out excuse for a broken class. People play classes they like out of concept. If they wanted to be "the most effectively powerful class" they would pick whatever class that was, regardless of if they liked what it was.

People play brawlers because they like melee, they like martial arts, they like hand to hand, kung fu, sword fights, or hacking people up with blades. Even for pure role playing aspects. Brawlers also carry the false title and perception of being a "tank class" which by far they are not. Same HP, no added defense. You get hit just as often, and just as hard as someone holding a pistol. Read the original post, see the KNOWN facts about whats wrong with brawlers.

ALL classes in a game need to be a VIABLE option. Right now, brawlers are NOT, leaving many disatisfied players who desire to play them, but are left in the dirt, face down, wondering what the heck is going on.
