but dont expect to find much in it, most time its just some
kind of junk.. best things I found so far were other locked
containers.. and one crystal...
But.. since you have to do slicing containers to get enough
slicing xp to get to slice really cool stuff (terminals, weapons,
armor) there is actully a great demand for Locked Containers.
Any aspiring smuggler will open them for free, or you can just
simply sell them (locked) or some thousands credits...

Hey.
Are locked containers worth keeping/opening? Can they contain SEA's or are those looted directly? I'm mainly hunting NS...

I have opened Locked Containers containing SEAs (as well as Force Crystals), so it is definitely possible. However, they were just +1 to some insignificant mod (like Grenade Experimentation). So yes, they can contain good items, however the chances are extremely rare: I think out of 200 or so containers that I've opened, I've only gotten 2 SEAs - both with rather bad mods. So, the chances of you getting a useful mod are slim to none. Depends on how lucky you're feeling, I guess.

ive found the following in locked containers.....
force crystals (but kinda bad ones)
random clothing items (head wrap, bangles, boots)
pitiful weapons (cdefs, heavy axe, metal poles)
blank SEA's
good SEA's (5+ to combat med experimentation, but it was in some dudes container i was slicing for free so i didnt get it)
more containers
DOT guns (cdefs with poisons, some actualy good weapons)
greivings
so if you get soemthing, be happy, you have a good smuggler who's not a bad word....if not dont be surprised, but if your low on cash place em on coronet bazzar, they sell like gold at 6k a peice

Sorry to ask such a noob question, but what are the possibilities of finding something good in a container? I have been looting loads of them and selling them for 3k on my vendor. But is there a decent chanceI could find a nice weapon or attachmentin a container, that would make it worth to have them all opened?

theres not really anything in them, i've been grinding the slice tree last few days. get alot of cdef stuff, broken stuff and clothes. On occasion you find a CA or AA with +1 to a skill, but not much other than that. IMO you get more off the 3k you sell them for.

Well I heard from a from someone who heard from someone that they read about someone who found an exceptional cdef in a locked container they think, but aren't sure.

Thank you for the quick responses, I have concluded that it isn't worth having all the containers sliced over selling them.

Selling containers for thousands of credits is nothing short of extortion.
Smugglers are the only profession gated by the loot table in this fashion. (Other than Jedi, and I could care less if the drop rate on crystals went through the floor...less glowy sticks would be a good thing.)
Would you pay 3000 creds for 250 XP?
I didn't think so.
You got the container for free. Help out a Novice Smuggler and donate containers for free. Or if you want to sell them on a vendor, at least mark them for 1 credit.
