Thread: TKA v. Fencer? Damage and speed
Damagewise, the TKA will do about twice the damage. The stats on a TKA's vibroknuckler are about the same as the stats on a Fencer's vibroblade, but the TKA gets a very large +damage bonus on top of that.
A fencer excels in defense and not in offense although offensively they do get bleeds and TKA's do not. That mitigates the differential a bit.
StGabe.
So I would say it is a toss up but the TKM has power boost so I guess they can take more damage.
So, the key is to take the def mods in TKA and master fencer and Brawler, right?

ugh. That will make all the melee professions that much weaker while making TKA appear stronger.
Tell me though. TKA was designed and intended to be the most powerful melee profession, right? It makes sense based on the background.
The fighting concepts of the professions are different. TK is designed to disable your opponent and/or out damage them through raw power and speed combined. Very straightforward and powerful.
Fencing can deal out a decent amount of damage quickly but their strength is in their agility. Dodging and avoiding attacks rather than taking them and hitting back harder. Different mentalities. Do what suits you best.
To be honest, play the class that you feel more inclined to. both classes has its own advantages as well as disadvantages and the same applies to pikemen and swordmen.
Also consider that TKA'sonly haveAP1 with the vibroknuckles and, doing unarmed 3 with VKs on willget yourself killed if a battle is long drawn out (higher level mobs).anything withmedium armor is going to be a long fight. Dont even bother if the target has AR3 (heavy armor).
