Just wondering if the level 2 abilities gained and the +5 to speed and accuracy are worth the 48 skill points spent attaining it.

I have heard that intimidate two is a real helper....cant say for myself though, because I have not gotten to Master Brawler yet...just the 2 handed tree filled

"So I swoop upon the foe, and I will slay,
I will hew them into pieces, I will dash them into dust;
Like Baal in his strength, on their rearward, lo! I fell,
And I killed them, none escaped me, and I slew, and slew, and slew."

master brawler is very useful, intimadate II is a great skill, speed +5 isnt all that great but any speed helps.

It's worth it for Lunge2, Intimidate 2and the additional melee defense. The +5 speed helps, especially if you forgo Master Swords (makes up a little speed you lose). Lunge2 is vital for PvP and Intimidate2 is a huge help in PvE.

I believe it is worth it. I would have lost alot of battles against ranged opponets if I did not have Lunge2.

Eh, I really dont think its worth the points, yes intimidate 2 is great, but lunge 2 isnt now due to the KD nerf. You can always use lunge 1 which keeps the enemy from moving just as long as a knockdown.

umm, i myself havnt gotten master brawler, but if u wanna go all out melee i think its definitely worth it. Also, kd's keep your enemy on the ground for like 6 or 7 seconds dude, at least the one ive used(charge shot), and thats a single kd. Its enough to get 2 hits on them, which could be a mind bleed 2 and a head hit three.

i think lunge 2 would be awesome in pvp(for brawlers), because of the range and basically once u get it on them they are screwed, automatically, because your a melee whomping on their defensless body.

i know you get a dizzy somewere in the tka tree for brawler, and maybe in the fencer, so if u combine that with a kd your enemy is toast.

but again thats only if the lunge 2 kd works as effectively as other kds ive seen...

There's really no comparison between Lunge2 and Lunge1. The only reason I'd ever use Lunge1 is because I already Lunged2 and the person got away. And, in that case I'd probably just use it to set a bleed and run away because Lunge1 will not keep them down long enough to do much else.

Having had master brawler, the knockdown pre nerf was great, yes. But after the knockdown nerf its not nearly as nice, and Ive found since I droppedmaster brawlerthat lunge 1 does the same thing for me that lunge2 did for me post nerf.

Err, for me at least the posture change in lunge1 keeps them down for about the same amount of time the knockdown did....

I think master brawler is good to have....although im planning to drop it once im running out of skill points. I tell u i dont use almost anything out of the skills it gives u exept for beserk 2...but this baby works like a charm. If you looking to advance in the brawler skills, this will save you planty of time in any fighting situation. No more, what special move i should do next..just concentrate on healing(as the only drawback u take damage easier), but if you take some mind drugs, you will become almost impossible to stop. I would not recommend it in a PvP fight cuz u can take a lot of damage on a good shut from ur opponent, but if you ever had a hard time hitting a ranged PvP player that was moving, it will most likely help since all you do while beserk is keep on hitting your target non stop.

im not a master swordsman, but with beserke 2 i do an average of 550dmg per hit.It is very common to do 2-3k dmg under 4 sec, which is obviously not the best cuz i could do that with one special move, but special moves not always work for high dmg, and this stuff is guaranteed. I seen myself take out a camp with 64k health faster then a group of 4 marksman, and if you ever want to lure away diffenders from a camp and destroy the camp before the defenders get back...well then master brawler is the way to go

Well, it may not seem like much of a return for all the skill points...but I think it's worth it.

A Master Brawler/Master Heavy Swordsman will win against a regular Master Heavy Swordsman, every time. Even with the timer, Lunge 2 is still pretty useful. Berserk and Warcry 2 aren't great, but you get Intimidate 2. If you like to solo, and don't use pets to tank, Intimidate 2 is the best skill ever. The only drawback to it is a high failrate...otherwise, Intimdate 2 + armor makes you tank very well against single mobs.
