Thread: Is hiching a ride with a friend into space while in combat a bug?
I have had only one Jedi run into a faction base to avoid a fight, but I have had 10 times that hitch a ride with a friend to escape. If you cant leave on your own ship while in combat, makes sense that you shouldnt be able to leave on someone elses.
Samous, please add this to the list of things that need fixing.

If so, can we please get this fixed.

Ive had numerous marks do this too... dont think it should be allowed tbh :/
/equip flamsuite;
/say You mean like the Jedi in Revenge of the Sith did when Darth Mall was winning?
/burstrun;
But seriously, it would be nice to see the BH TEF prevent the entering of any structure, vehicle, or ship for both parties.

escaping combat via spaceship has been an integral part of the movies since luke, ben, han and the slave hauled out of mos eisley under heavy st fire in anh.

Two things: A.) Wrong movie. and it's Darth "Maul" not shopping Mall.
B.) Using the "movies" as a basis for argument in anything related to this game (SWG) is futile. We all know full well by now that the two are quite separate entities, with some similarities..

hmm.. so then the BH get's to follow them in space, perhaps using a droid to track which space zone the ship (not the jedi) travels to, then they can hyper there and search them out. If they can locate them in the next zone, they still can't attack, but at least know if they hyper'sd out agian, or if they landed ar a station. The BH wouldn't know which starport they landed at, but at least they'd know that the ship, and presumably the jedi, landed on that planet. Then they can launch another droid and continue the chase...
Seems like a longer way to go about just waiting a bit and sending off another probe, but might be a little more fun, trying to chase a ship through zones and such.
and yes, lock pick = dumb idea

more realistsic, oh and an other thing bring back shooting off mounts, that was realisitic and that would help against jedi who use force run.
I've been considering more about the Jedi who run into faction bases to avoid a fight.... I don't think it needs to be fixed. There is NOTHING that stops a bounty hunter from entering the base and attempting to kill the Jedi. I feel it's a good tactic to use. Any bounty hunter who DOES enter that base to kill his mark is a fool if he goes in without some backup. This happened to me the other night....
I chased the mark halfway across Dantooine, and he runs into a small rebel base. Being a perma combatant Imperial I could have gone in straight away and died trying. What I did, was call in the guild back-up. In less than 5minutes I had 4 Jedi, 2 MBH's and a melee/doc there to assist with clearing the base for me. They cleared the base, I went in, and killed the Jedi who ran from me. He sent mea tell saying that he thought he had a good idea running into the base, but that after the result, it wasn't such a good idea, and gave me a /salute for it.
