Thread: Patch 19 is not as good as you think.

I am gonna try and tell the future here. Most jedi wil try out the healing and depending on what they do here depends on what they do. I do see alot of the doing a /respec to powers for that last respec they are all saving. For those that are already Master Powers they are all pleased. This patch may seem like it has helped us but I think it is still going to hurt us in the long run. Without armor my Dark Lord hits me with choke for over 1k damage and he can get it off every 3 or 5 secconds. We will not stand a chance since the force power required has been reduced by 50%. They will force run up to us and then choke us a couple of times hitting us with increased damage sabers inbetween. I see the fight lasting less than a minute with us being dead. There is nothing to be happy about with this patch in my eyes.

FR3 or not, we can still root them.
We'll just have to stay on our toes, that's all.

Well the problem for me is I have always hated dabbling. Pistoleer root is all I have the SP to get. That does not last that long and has one heck of a cooldown. I am a master BH Master Rifleman. I have no roots. I have a KD and a snare. The snare is now useless. KD lasts only enough time for one shot two if they are not on the ball. For me to get a half decent root I would have to scrap my character that I have put my energy into making. I am big on my RP so for me to dabble is not an option. This patch will hurt me more than anything. I depend on distance and damage. I will not have this. You have to be a FoTM smuggler 4xxx/cm/3xxxBh build to really enjoy this.

Expect root to get hit and valor block to work better, toss in some dodge food, different action/mind regen food, ruby and stim use here and there.
Imp saber dmg
I don't think jedi gonna be that gimped, just readjust their playstyle.

Uh? What are you smoking, partner? Is "my Dark Lord" slang for something? No way in the world that choke will tick for 1k per.

They won't be gimped. But they won't be much/any better than non-Jedi. With the element of surprise at the BH's disposal, the odds are on the BH's side.

There will be some adjustment and some quitting as jedi realize they might have to get some PVP skills instead of relying on a god mode template for the win.

Ok first it is out of respect that I call him Dark Lord. He is a Dark jedi that was almost to knight when they ripped the FRS out from under him. When I make jedi he is going to be my master. So this is not slang just respect to him. He is also my guild leader and head of our Dark Jedi council that we have made in our town. We are an Imperial RP guild so I try to show him my respect.
Seccond I have been "punished" by him when I am not in armor and I have seen it do 1600 in one hit so yes way it will hit for over 1k. I say punished in the RP sense that I insulted his padawan in front of him. We do take our RP serriously. But the point is that I have seen first hand what it can do without armor. His only limitation now is force cost keeps him from spamming his hits. He has already told me that at a 50% reduction he can spam choke over and over.

Why should they need PvP skills when it is so much more expensive to buy I mean it takes a week of afk grinding on Kash errr I mean it is such a difficult and long grind to get to Jedi anyway. They should be Uber and 1337 for $600 (yes that is how much I saw an afk grinder selling account for on eBay) and sk1lz should be no part of PvPing.
However that said there is no need for PvP skill for the ones that respecd powers after watching EP3, choke/cloak/choke/cloak ftw

Based on those two statements im calling total BS on you, Choke is not spammable, it hits 2times onfirst tick, then ticks constantly, and CANNOT be stacked, theres no way you can hit for 1600 or even 1k in PVP like you suggested.
The force cost was decreased because not counting PVP a PVE encounter (should be easier) would drain you to 1/4 force bar or more, the action cost are still high 4-5 specials no actions, a powers has to stand still and not get hit to do his two other damaing moves Lighting and lighting cone, I call BS.

That is disturbing on several levels... and I don't even want to go there.

Ok I just did a build on a character builder to which you just described, Mpowers, LS x4x4, Enhancer 2xx2, healer 4xxx and Defender with a Line, puts you in the whole -3 sps, that templates all over the boards no defense, your hypothetical suituation will not hold up.
