Thread: BH Loot and Complaints
Also, a lot of the posts I have seen here give the impression that the drops are uber on a regular basis. I have run about 20 missions so far (about 5 hours). All I have gotten were Smuggler slicing components and a few BH armor schems. I have yet to loot ANY CAs.
However, if people are running BH missions for HOURS at end, the law of averages will catch up and if anything is droppable, it will drop. I do not think that is bad considering the amount of time and effort involved. You got a much better return on your investment of time, and effort hunting Krayts or Nightsisters or Acklayprior to CU.

It is interesting that most people beleive that this is a zero sum game. A lot of the posts I have seen are "BHs got nice loot, it should either be nerfed or everyone should have it".
Excuse me, but prior to CU BHs could not solo Nightsisters, or Gorax, or Krayts or Acklayfor loot.A lot of you other combat professions could do that.
I did not hear crafters complain that a Rifleman/TKM (or other templates)was able to loot any high level mob in the game prior to CU. Now that the BH NPC marks are worth doing, and loot is dropping I do not understand the complaints.
Heck, I saw complaints even on the Jedi forums. They seem to forget that they get a second character slot on the same server. Should we lobby for everyone to get that or have it removed? Fencers and Swordsman would love to have access to Lightsabers as well..

Oh no he isnt!
Right or wrong please 'live in the now'. Atonement for past mistakes will never make this a better game. Atonement is a cycle of imbalance that can never be broken.

probably was sarcastic lol
It has nothing to do with balance, the reason BH is getting nerf calls is because the arch-enemy of the BH is.........
The Nerfi.
The Nerfi order was established in September of 2003 when the first nerfi was unlocked through the Nerfercron. Then all the nerflings (per maturity nerfi, some would say nerfi never truely mature) rushed to get their nerfercrons. We seen reb guilds and imp guilds work together just so they could harvest all the nerfercrons for themselves.....
Then something dark happend. The Dark Ones, the Masters of the nerfi gave everyone a nerfercron. Some weaker people were perverted and choose the nerfi path, others sold their nerfercrons to nerfi and helped unwittingly destroy themselves and others said "Take your nerfercron and shove it where the sun don't shine."
The DarkOnes in their trechery are cruel though, to blind the masses the darkones made the nerfi hunters. The Dark Ones stated "Thine Nerfi Hunters shall slayith the nerfi and free thine land from eternal darkness." It was a lie though, the Nerfi Hunters were a trick, the Dark Ones secretly conspired to make the nerfi more and more numerous.
The Dark Ones got the Nerfi Hunters Drunk with vats of fermented cabbage and secretly gave the nerfi more power and took away all disadvantages. Now the nerfi are as numerous as Pornography on the internet and nerfi hunters are objects the nerfi can torchure and ridicule.

maybe...but maybe not, just look at guys like rob0t
1. Make smuggler tools more numerous leading to slicing being more commomplace and accesible to those with less money.
2. Provide a new way for "uber" loot to drop, thus nerfing afk looters slightly, or at least dimishing their "role" in the game.
3. Provide BH's with a sustainable way of earning decent cash to upgrade their armor and weapons, so as they may better fight the Jedi.
I'm sure there are more aspects to the whole thing which will become apparent over time. To those who are crying NERF NERF!!, just wait a bit will you? The only reason people are making so much cash out of this is because its brand new and everyone is still really excited and doing it lots. In a few weeks smuggler tools will be so common their value will be massively decreased and they wont be so easy to sell for high prices. This will also apply to all the loot available from BH missions.
On the CA/AA note, I was the first person to collect all 10 schems on Chimaera and have a new suit crafted. I did this by playing for 16 hours on the friday after the new publish. In that time I did a LOT of missions, and got just 2 CA; one was rubbish, and the other was only moderately good. From what I've seen in the forums there are a few more dropping, but not the torrent that some people have been predicting.
This update is without doubt the best thing to happen to BH in a very very long time, lets not do it down before we see the full implications, which will require time to become obvious.
Personally I would like to see a small increase in the CL of the marks. I know from experience that my build (MBH, MCM, Carb 0400) can take on a CL89 ranged npc or a CL 83 melee npc. So maybe something in the range of 83-85 would be better than the current 80-81.
TBH anything higher than 85 and you might as well go fight Jedi
