Did a little fishing with my Troll and pulled out something interesting. It seems a Jedi has found an interesting way to stay "safer" and props to him for figuring it out. But he posted it on te forum so I decided you guys should know about it.
Here ya go...

old news, I used to do this all the time
that's why I never put Jedi on my BHs list
and BHs on my Jedi's list
When I was a lower level, I led a couple BHs around in big circles, fun times

Yes, I supposed that could work, but all a BH has to do is not put a jedi on their list, and if they go to try and launch a droid you get target not online, a minor inconvience since it takes time to grab the mission and then the sig and then launch but its worth it, as you still have the element of surprise.

actually in a way it will work, you put them in there frindlist, their macro pops up, then you take them out, but MR. jedi stills has a good idea that hes being hunted and exactly who to expext.
What all BHs that put jedi in their friendlist want to do is stop, right now. Al you have to do to find out if the jedi is online is type /findfriend <name>. If it doesn't return a message that means he is ofline, if it said he couldn't be found he doesn't have you in his friendlist, if you get a wp you don't need to waste a droid.
Doing that will completly thwart that jedi'stactic.

I was under the assumption useing the friend list to track jedi is considered a exploit

I'd love to hear how you arrived at that conclusion?
Ask CS. Worst case, they say no. They say yes, you note the name of the CSR, the number and the exact answer given to you, and should anyone ever contact you about "exploiting your friendslist" your ass is covered.

yes, please explain how its an exploit. In order for BH A to track jedi B, jedi B must have BH A in his friend list.

I see bh's like there toys like i said i wasn't definate. But the friend list was not made to help you track jedi even better than you can now.

In the wise words of master Yoda: "Findfriend is my ally, and a powerful ally it is." Every now and again while grinding i stop and findf some of the BHs who have come for me before, told me they will again, or people i just know i should watch out for. From doing this, i am also now able to tell from the coordinates in my datapad when a bh is standing at the bh terminals in kaadara looking for a mission, and when they go out to launch their arakyd.
On several occaisions this has saved my arse
Heres a tip for those that dont know, you dont need to add the name of the jedi you are hunting to your friends list to see if they are online. Just do /findf jediname, if they are online you will get a message telling you "unable to locate jediname." If they are offline you wont get any message at all.

This has been around for sometime and I actually realized how this could pose a problem just as soon as the feature was added to the game. Nowadays I am more careful about who I have on my list because of this. As a matter of fact, last night I was running down my list of Jedi doing /findfriendand found quite a few Jedi whom I had killed had also added me to their friendlists.
