If you noticed, I said I wanted people to stay away from posting pointless crap like that in my thread you, even if that wasn't directed at my post you have contributed to nothing but my need for valium - and of course the fact that we should be able to control what and who posts on a professional board...
If the TKA havent got a correspondant then we need one fast, to stop this exact type of post.. What good does " Boohoo! go cry somewhere else " actually serve ?I have had Yahoo! chat conversations with more wit and content than that!Strange thing is in this case the poster didnt comment on thier profession, yet i did , and so did the guy after me, and we were both TK... This is what I wanted , i also stated that if you are not TKA as far as I am concearned you have no voice here as this is a TKA pro board. If you are a TKA and you are trying to agree with me your still winding me up asyou havent made it clear if you are for or against flaming with your flame! heh.
Isaid I would just ignore you all that posted alame retort, but i needed to make an example of at least ONE person.. The rest shall (if anyone can say something I cant tear to shreds in about five seconds) be looked at and evaluated individually.. So far though you understand the level of mentality which I was talking about in this thread..
We want someone with an IQpowerfullenough towin abattle of wits withdead horse or above please..
Now , let us continue.. With the TKA talking to the TKA for a change..
And thanks for the stars..
I would like to see this implemented, but there are some serious drawbacks and limitations:
1. If only we were on a board, then we would have no outside opinions, even if it was a good opinion.
2. If we shut ourselves in and fence everyone out, then there will be even more outrage.
3. I odn't think that the professional moderators at SOE have enough time to keep this forum regulated in this manner, let alone every profession.
4. This board would be far less entertaining. I love reading the "1 W4n7 7k4 N3rf3D!!! 1 d()()ld 4 7k4 4nd
L()57!! 1 4M 4 m4rk5m4N 0201!!! 1 5h()uld h4v3 ()n3i!!!!!111oneone!1111!!one111two!!!"

Good point, and i agree.. But what I think we should have is the ability to decide if we want outside opinions which are unproductive and are nothing more than flames.. Other professions and thier opinions are more than welcome in my eyes as long as I dont see NERF in their posts.
2. If we shut ourselves in and fence everyone out, then there will be even more outrage.
Well true, lets not fence everyone out.. Lets let everyone in and when we see the people who cry NERF as soon as someone hits post, then lets start weeding out the good from the bad. Looking back on the threads here I say we have a good start on a ban list already.
3. I don't think that the professional moderators at SOE have enough time to keep this forum regulated in this manner, let alone every profession.
Me neither, correct. They don't have, but someone with alot of time on their hands could vet the posts for the TKA forum in particular or perhaps a small group of elected officials for the TKA community.. The other forums could have someone like this too, the hard question to answer here would be " If you give a user the power to edit a forum content, when and where would that power be used, and would it be abused. " I have created a couple of forums on sites to date and am also a moderator on some which I don't want to mention and I think that if you gave me a universal edit button , I could easily hunt through and winkle outthe NERFkiddies and leave all the valid content.. *cough cough* Not that im saying I am the right guy for the job
4. This board would be far less entertaining. I love reading the "1 W4n7 7k4 N3rf3D!!! 1 d()()ld 4 7k4 4nd
L()57!! 1 4M 4 m4rk5m4N 0201!!! 1 5h()uld h4v3 ()n3i!!!!!111oneone!1111!!one111two!!!"
Now THIS is what I wanted to know, do people find it amusing to watch these 'nerf hearders'(nice phrase) and watch them make a fool out of themselves ? I know for a fact I don't take them as seriously as it may appear, yes they wind me up, yes I hate it becauseto me its a form of digital pollution... But YES itIS funnyto see them use l33t speak , use it so badly, and of course complain about their totally underpowered templates beingdueled by TKA who are probably sat their with a cig in their mouth , a beer in one hand and the n00bs ass in the other..

Indeed you did.. Nice post, valid comments, constructive conversation and just what we need. My main point still stands and I still want to know what everyone else thinks.. At the end of the day these people are actually a threat to our way of gaming, and they need to be dealt with, or if you excuse the expression they need to get a taste of a NERF bat in the forum department.. And they need to know if they post crap and flood the boards with useless pre-pubescentone line answers to bump up their post count and cause trouble, instead of having a discussion about it we will just remove it from the board..

As much as I hate nerf cries, I think we should just delete all the nerf threads except for 1. People have a right to complain, but they shouldn't have a right to flood our boards with a million threads regarding the SAME topic. It's lame and it stops us from being productive as a community of martial artists. Let's keep one nerf thread alive, and delete all others.
More than acceptable, this is what should be done.. Limit all NERF posts to a single NERF thread, all others should be deleted. This means we can still all have a laugh at them, we can 'hone our skills' and wittycomebacks but the damage to the community will be limited to one single section which people can go and post in or just choose to ignore..
People do have the right to complain , you are correct..Having a single NERF thread in every professionis a perfect compromise.

All kidding aside this will never happen with the state of the forums has they are today. There are not enough mods to enforce a "One Nerf Thread per Forum" rule. And one persons call to fix a profession can and will be viewed by another has a nerf call. Heck, a mod for a particular forum may not agree with what you or I feel are nerf calls. It is to open for interpretation on the Mods part and for the people who normally participate in a forum.
Your idea is a good one but due to limitations will more then likly never happen.
Unfortunately... You may be right..
But hey I still have a dream, I don't have time to cook up another long post here and put in another point as its time to leave the office... So i will leave you with this until I can get back on tonight or at the w/e with a beer and a smoke to think of something else.. Enjoy and thanks for the replies ! I will return..

(( I love things like this, and I know its totally random.. But its worth a giggle. Check his site, its pretty cool. ))
I have an idea
Lets give them a nerf crying board
they can all cry to each other about how they lost to *insert profession here* and leave us alone and let us talk about TKA stuff and how to better our profession
*shrug*
Nerf threads are never constructive. They are simply kids or immature young adults lashing out for no other reason than they got their ass kicked. Whether by luck, or skill of the opponent, or just a basic lack of skill on their part, it matter not, for in their lazy minds, they want to dominate without any effort other than to whine.
These threadsshould be deleted. And if they persist...as in starting thread as fast as their threads are deleted...then this show contempt for the moderator, and indeed for the forum itself. The individuals should then be suspended. Saves a lot of time, and hassle...and aspirin.
