Not strictly BH topic, but considering this mainly concerns Jedi, it's a good place to post.
Dont get me wrong, CU has made 1vs1 pvp much more tactical, but JEEZUZ group PVP sucks.
Last night I was involved in my first SF group fight as I normally hunt Jedi via terms. I was up till 3am fighting but it just went ON and ON and ON. When you did manage to incap a Jedi, you couldnt DB them becuase of this stupid DB timmer (Same for the other side btw). Rebels on one side, Imps on the the other. As soon as you run to try and DB your opponent, you got within 30m of the incapped player before getting rooted by someone else. Jedi would run in, do some damage, run back out of range and heal heal heal heal.
The only way to kill your opponent was a tripple incap, but with CM's dragging bodys behind the lines and rezing them, it just seemed such a futuile excersise. Occasionally the other side drove us back, and then we drove them back. Eventually I had to log of with the battle still going strong. I guess the winning side would simply be the side with the most players left online.
What a sorry state of affairs. Who was it that said the DB timer was good for pvp???
I think I'll stick to soloing Jedi. At least it has an end (sometimes)

It comes as no suprise to me that the pvp in thisgame is sub par, SoE brought us Everquest (the mother of all PvE games) Everquest 2( they said they werent even PLANNING on any pvp in that game) and planetside( a botched FPS). They have no idea what it takes to make a good pvp system

maybe if they increase the rez time to 1 or 2 mins and remove this goddam awful timer things would be a little better.
But what is the point of group pvp when no one can win?

Well, you shud be happy that you didn't get ganked in some 20vs10 situation, i love battles that go on for a while. In the end someone will win, its just a matter of tactics.
For example, if thoose CM's dragged off the dead and resed them you'r side shoud've focused on incapping thoose keeping their side alive

Pre CU mass pvp was about as much fun as you could have with your clothes on, post CU mass pvp is about as much fun as a Dentist waiting room. Although it has often been stated that insane Doc buffs and 80% composite were unbalancing, in mass pvp they were quite a leveller. Everyone had them, everyone was "uber". Now no-one has them and only one profession is "uber" = no fun for the non-jedi who feel they are only there to make up numbers

PvP can be fun but lately, all I hear is "we need more Jedi", from non-Jedi. And from Jedi I hear "You NEED me". Blah blah blah. I think we are too reliant on Jedi in my opinion. Non-Jedi are the B$%$h classes *cough* I mean Beta in alot of cases. We arn't really that important, more or less just a number but we can feel important when we get a group of BH together and each BH has their role in killinga Jedi, but thats about it as far as Jedi involved combat goes. The rest is "can I survive long enough for our Jedi to kill their Jedi?", especially if there are multiples of Jedi involved. It wouldn't be so bad if there weren't so many in one conflict.
*Now take a shot for everytime I said Jedi!*

Not when the usual tactic now is kill all the non-jedi first and then let the Jedi get on with the real fight

lol, regular players can get healing.....its called picking up CM 4xxx. Sure you are still not equal to a Jedi in healing with that but at least you can't moan that Jedi can Heal and non-Jedi can't. Just remember, all Jedi have to choose to pick up Healer 4xxx, why shouldn't non-Jedi have to choose to pick up CM 4xxx?
