by using your saber or any force powers within 30m or so of any player, or humanoid npc, pets, or droids. (think on the last 2, not sure)

So yes, group hunting will give you vis.

Really that is wierd that they have to hide their powers. How would they lvl up without grouping? Since this game encourages grouping.

Doing anything jedi like causes vis if an npc or pc is close by. You have* to grind in a group. You have to get vis. BH's get more missions to pull. BH's get more content. I get more pvp practice. Everyone wins!

*yadda yadda yadda shut up you do to It's *very* slow to grind solo compared to grinding in a good grind group.

Either by:

1) Challenging the EP3 newbs in Mos Eisleyto a duel

2) Duelling your buddies outside Theed SP waiting for anyone SF to turn up on their own

3) Showing off the force animations in the middle of Coronet

4) Trying to grind to full template in less than a week

5) Using the letters "omg" at the start of every sentence

Any of these will get you on the terms

And I will strike down upon thee with great vengeance and furious anger those who attempt to poison and destroy my brothers. And you will know I am the Lord when I lay my vengeance upon you

Sooo...

Say if I just went to the middle of Lok somewhere out of sight from any humanoid NPC's and PC's, where I'd just kill Kimogilas all the time, like a hermit, without even washing or changing my Jeedai undies and live in a Tatooine-like hut justlike Ben Kenobi, I would never get on the terms?

If so, then good. Because if I ever intend to grind my way out of the Village then this is how Iwilllivemy Jedi life.

The fact is that jedi do not have to grind in groups... they grind in groups so that they power level and they do it next to a huge exploit spot so they can power level without risk. This exploiting is why many jedi are becoming full template in a couple weeks instead of the months that it would normally take.

An example of how a jedi could level without group grinding.. have TKM/Doc and some noive saber skills. You can attack mobs that are 3-4 levels below you and get xp. With the doc healing and TKM defenses this is not hard at all but it is much slower than group grinding. Jedi want to power level and they will exploit (cheat) to do so at no risk.

Please dont keep up the Jedi hate because you do not understand the xp rate Post CU. I am in no way a power gamer, I have been a jedi since Jan and am only half way to my template. It has been figured with current solo xp rate gain for Jedi it would take 7 years of playing 3 hours a day to complete a template. This is the reason so many Jedi are now in your face in groups because no one in their right mind would do it any other way. Even in groups I still dont come close the getting the xp I did solo before the CU.

To the original poster, good luck trying to grind Jedi as a hermit (like it was pre CU) this option has effectivly been removed from the game.

doc healing takes away from the jedi xp.. Beter to just get healing 4-0-0-0 and then work up defender with novice sabers. Force infusion macro, advanced healing and carry some stims on you. all set.

Isn't that the magic question?

Used to be that a Jedi had the tools available to grind solo and fill out a template in 3-4 months. The devs took those tools away and changed exp specifically to entice Jedi-and other professions-to group (since exp doesn't split). Now, to earn exp at 1/3rd of the rate of pre-CU days, ( I get about 100k an hour in a group where 300k-500k was pretty normal pre-CU) you have to group and, of course, pay the exp-tax when the inevitable happens and you land on the terminals.
