I'm really glad i did decide to stick around, and get the expansion. i've been having a blast exploring kashyyyk, and running all the various types of missions.

i've proven my worth to my Rodian brothers and sisters. they now think of me as an equal in terms of hunting prowess. i've received several trophies from them that i will proudly hang in my home.

Myself and a friend explored The Dead Woods last night. Ended up with all sorts of neat looking new loot items. I'd have to say that the Mystical Tome (neat looking book) and the Voodoo Doll are my favorites.

I've still got tons of stuff to explore on the ground. then i've also got to go to the Avatar platform, do some space missions, check out the space mining, and do the clone armor quests, among other things.

I agree that Kashyyyk is a lot of fun. I still have some personal issues with it, but it is new content, and is, for the most part, enjoyable. My guildy and I decided to tackle the Myydril Cave yesterday. Great fun. For the record...I am killing both leezard slaves, and wookiees, until I decide where my loyatly lies .

notice how you can't attack the Rodians.

not that i'd attack them anyway, as they are my loyal brothers and sisters, but it is still interesting that i can whipe out all the trandoshes and wooks, but can't touch the rodians.

Yeah, but there's that permanent Rodian corpse near the tree, underneath the bushes...

No idea what that's about.. maybe quest related.

I'm having lots of fun with Kashyyyk, as well. The Mydrill cavern quests are great and the loot is really cool there too.

I must admit I am in shock over how well ROTW turned out considering how gut wrenchingly bad the CU was. Hopefully The crew that designed the quests for ROTW will get a chance to rework some of the other planets quests before being pulled off to another expansion.

My only reservation about ROTW is how it is marginalizing the player run economy by introducing so many free ships, armor, weapons, and various other loot. Don't get me wrong, I love getting a free Y8 but think how much players would have been willing to pay another player for such a thing. (Oh and the 2multiplayer ship limit sucks eggs since they have 3 distinct types of multiplayer ships now)

Hehe - I was wondering how you would take the permanant rodian corpses! But, if you haven't made it into the Rodian hunting grounds, you should definitely go -- those little guys don'tmess around. Oh, and you get more cool trophies.

I was in the Myyyndril caverns the other night killing the unsors (sp?) for one of the missions and I looted this stone that gave me a quest. Wow! Loot that spawns quests.

Hehe - the writing in ROTW is pretty good as well. I almost died laughing when the leezard gave me that line!

It is great content. I got my bolotaur mount this morning, I'm having to rethink some of my pet names. Maybe HE will be "Calc" and the veractyl can be "Calc Junior" or something... heheh..

The only down side is gating things with JtL / pilot skills. For those of us who got lazy, finished Tier 2 and having done any of Tier 3 or beyond... well, it's rough. But I'll get there, eventually... or just keep dying trying. But the ground stuff is GREAT. Space... we'll, once I get some Tier 3 and Tier 4 skills (and components more importantly) I'll let you know how a "space ranger" fares on that part of it.
