If it reduces the Jedi population, I have to grudgingly say I support it.


More likely though they'll all just change to my template, which is positively affected by the change instead of nerfed.

Remember, that while they are changing some things in jedi, they are also changing a lot of other disciplines. Mainlyjedi enhancer and jedi powers got huge love. Sabers are about even in love hate. Healer got adjusted, so a bit of hate. Defender stayed the same, except for avoid incap, but that's a last ditch move anyways. Here is how I rate the affect against bh. Overall, I think it will be harder for bh. Jedi are crying they are nerfing everything, but when you break it all down, and look at the overall picture. It's a huge plus for jedi.



Jedi Defender


  • Avoid Incapacitation - Increased Force cost to activatelast ditch move for jedi anyways. won't affect the duels with bh.

Jedi Healing



  • Force Sap - Lowered duration and debuff amount Made this kind of useless. debuff amount was already low, now it may be lower. + for bh.

  • Force Heal - Increased cooldown and execute timers depends on the time on this. increasing from 4-5 seconds is increased, but not really going to change anything. increasing to 30 seconds, that would be a huge hit.

  • Total Heal - Increased cooldown and execute timers

  • Added Mind and Action costs to most Healer abilities Won't affect much. They are increasing time between heals, so it's not like it'll be spammed anyways.

Jedi Powers may become the discipline to have in the future.



  • Force Choke - Armor will no longer prevent Force Choke damage bad for bh, since armor has no effect.

  • Mind Blast - Added State effects to ability when states work, this will be a powerful attack.

  • Improved Mind Blast - Ability is now single target ability

  • Force Throw - Added State effects to ability when states work, this will be a powerful attack.

  • Force Throw - Is now a cone attack

  • Force Cloak - Increased cooldown timer

  • Reduced Force cost of Powers abilities by 50%biggest love yet for jedi.

Jedi Enhancer



  • Force Armor - Now adds to your Jedi Innate Jedi Armor huge change. this will put them up with defenders depending on how much innate armor they get. also a master defender/master enhancer may become untouchable.

  • Force Armor - Takes a substantial less amount of Force per incoming damage see above.

  • Force Shield - Takes a substantial less amount of Force per incoming damagesee above.

  • Transfer Force - Increased cooldown timer does not affect bh at all. unless a bh is attacking one after another.

  • Drain Force - Increased cooldown timer more of a benefit to jedi. doesn't affect bh at all.

  • Stasis - Increased cooldown timer since any attack breaks statis, not that important. for multiple bh though, this is key, since a jedi can statis one, and focus on the other.

  • Force Speed - Increased duration of Buff whatever. it was already long.

  • Added slight Mind and Action costs to most Enhancer abilitieseverything has mind and action costs. depending on how high, shouldn't affect that much.

Jedi Lightsabers



  • Reduced action cost of Light saber moves big for jedi. now they won't run out as quick.

  • Reduced Force cost on Saber moves big for jedi. reduced force costs means longer battles.

  • Advanced Saber Throw - Removed Cone effects from ability personally, I like this. And this is very bad for bh. Since a jedi can now saber throw a bh and not worry about agroing the whole area.

  • Improved Saber Throw - Removed Knockdown effect from ability huge for bh. not everyone is a master ls. this was the one very effective tool against bh.

  • Increased Damage Potential of all Saber Throwsbad for bh. increased damage potential is never good if you are on the receiving end.


Jedi


  • Added warmup timer to Jedi Saber Power attack good for bh. but not going to make a huge difference.

Spiffy. Maybe ADK'ing my Proton wasn't a bad choice after all.

Still curious how this will pan out considering they aren't CL 54. I'd absolutely love to see an LLC match at least an adv laser. Would be nice to see the ol' lightning bolts come out when my mark gets passed 50m.

Only have come across this once and I was killed by Night Sisters before I knew what it was. But still nice to see this implimented.

So let me get this straight... not only will the timer between heals be increased, but they'll also have action and mind costs attached?


Wow.


To be honest I never had a problem with M Defs. It's only at Master that they are really tanks, so with the 89 SP cost, they're giving up a lot of other abilities to ge this. What I didn't like though was that as long as you dropped 28 SP into healer, you were nigh invincible.


Jedi Lightsabers



  • Advanced Saber Throw - Removed Cone effects from ability
  • Improved Saber Throw - Removed Knockdown effect from ability This means only MLS has a KD attack.

No KD until MLS? Again, wow. This will prove incredibly useful.


Doctor/Combat Medic - Now BHs that have 4000 CM can compete in heals with their adversaries .



  • Significantly reduced Healing execute timers and cooldowns on all healing abilities
  • Reduced aggro generated by Healing by 50% on all healing abilities
  • Reduced Mind costs all healing buffing abilities
  • Significantly reduced Healing execute timers and cooldowns on all Combat Medic Offensive abilities
  • Significantly increased amount of Doctor/CM healing

Not a medic, so I can't say this affects me. Altough it is tempting me to create a MBH/MCM toon on another server.


Bounty Hunter



  • Duelist Stance - Increased amount of defense skill added Yay.

Yay indeed. Question though, anyone know yet if DS is supposed to grant ranged defense mods? Even if not, still a handy tool now against Rifle-toters.





I keep waiting for "FOOLED YOU!!" though.

Yes my friend, you clearly represent the seperation between the men and the boys on these forums. I'm glad to see someone post who's able to identify that this is "not" a "nerf" on Jedi.


It balances some issues while fixing a few others. It is also setting up Jedi for furture fixes.
