Thread: To all those BH's that complain about Jedi Running away, well they are supposed to.

Don't you know it's the Jedi's code to avoid all Unneccesary combat.

If running away means no combat, then that is the right thing to do.

A Jedi is only supposed to fight when they are out of all other options(i.e. if reasoning, fleeing, jedi mind trick doesn't work)

Fear is not part of the jedi way...if you don't believe me, talk to Master Yoda..he'll set you straight

Yes, But one may argue, is the Jedi Running in fear? or Running away in great Wisdom.

The Jedi that is not fearful that is running away has much wisdom.

Any good Jedi Know when they are beat.

Jedi are always supposed to be cautious.

Jedi do not fight in vein. (basically it means they are not foolish, if it combat leads to almost certain death, it is best to avoid it)

what is the Jedi way that is displayed by the many? SWG Jedi don't follow any type of "Jedi way" from what I have seen...

There is a difference between fear and a lack of bloodlust, just as there is a difference between a peaceful nature and weakness.

A true Jedi should in fact avoid combat unless it is absolutely necessary. When he decides that it is unavoidable, he should act decisively and without hesitation. A Jedi should be willing to sacrifice himself to save another, but even in that sort of situation, should have the wisdom to know when his sacrifice would likely be in vain.

Obviously this philosophy applies only to adherants to the jedi philosophy, not to "failed jedi", "fallen jedi", heretical "dark jedi", or other "force sensitives".

"Jedi" in SWG are a different matter entirely. There is no monolithic, generally accepted philosophy accepted and adhered to by "jedi" as a whole. One could blame this on the fact that these so-called "jedi" have not had the benefit of being educated by Jedi Masters ... the Council is in hiding, and the "jedi" of the galaxy are really mere "force sensitives" who have put in some time and effort to hone their force abilities. They are only slightly closer to the Jedi of the past than SWG Bounty Hunters are to the Mandalorians.

So, if a Jedi Incapped you in combat, but didn't D/B you, and then fled.

When you got up would you continue your pursuit of the Noble Jedi?

(because remember, Jedi do not strike down a defensless oppenent[they especially would not kill somone laying unconcious on the ground])

what Jedi are you talking about? certainly not SWG Jedi for the most part. SWG Jedi will cry and whine when you hunt them and kill them even though they knew the risksbut when they are done grinding they will stomp on your face and spit on you as they laugh.

If I incapped you, and chose not to D/B you, would you at that point give up your hunt for me, and leave peacefully?

As a player Jedi, that's a pretty weak reason.

Also, fear and aggression are pathways to the dark side. So....what about Imp Jedi?

Any lightside jedi that is intelligent in any way.

b/c doesn't killing a BH that comes after you raise your vis even more?

So wouldn't it be more benificial to the jedi to have the conflict end peacefully?

Chance are, if you've been fighting a BH...you already raised your vis.
