Thread: I am Pretty sure this is an exploit

I was hunting my mark today on kashyyyk and guess where I found him....the Webweaver Path at the Feral wookiee site....he took off running followed by alot of wookiees, when he was incapped by them, I did not reach him before he got back up and cloaked. I still had him targeted when he warpedover 1000m, I figured out he used the /unstick command to send him to the beginning. Can I get some feedback?

perhaps getting incapped stopped the agro and he asked the guide to take him back to the start

There was no Wookiee guide around...he was grinding at the feral wookiee camp. and it obviously was not his third incap, he got up, cloaked, walked around to see if I would leave, then he warped

My mark did this to me yesterday. He used the LOS bug and then when combat broke he used /unstick. I eventually found/murdered him, but it's obviously an exploit. Hopefully it's fixed soon.

Its not an exploit. The unstick feature is working as intended, it is intended to warp you back to either the begining of the Webweaver Trails, or back to the begining of the Ryatt Trails. You people use the word exploit way too much.

I don't think he could use the unstick in that situation, since unstick cancels if you move. More than likely he fell to the bottom of the webweaver trail. (I don't know if this is hte same as the LOS bug)

Unstick wasn't meant to escape PvP or PvE, it was meant to unstick you if you got jammed between two houses or something. It's an exploit to use it to escape other players.

Funny, I thought the UNSTICK command was INTENDED to get you, well, UNSTUCK. Using a game mechanic in a way that it is not intended can be an exploit. The /unstick command FUNCTIONS correctly, but it was USED incorrectly, in this case.
It doesn't really matter, CS from SOE is so horrendous that no one EVER seems to get banned for exploiting anymore, not since the credit dupe exploit way back when.

Nope, you can use unstick whenever you want, you just cant move. One time I used it as I was standing still, and it cancelled, and I moved and did it again, and itwent through instantly. /unstick is buggy as it is, but a useful feature for Kashyyyk, because I've been stuck so many times, that if I didnt have it, I would have needed multiple CSRs.

I used unstick when stuck in the Etty or whatever hunting grounds. Put me into a part of the map where I couldn't escape from. It was a path above the chiss poachers. But there was no way out of the path. The csr even had a hard time finding me, and getting me out of there.

Yeah, that happened to me too, I ran under the steps and behind the door and was able to unstick myself, but I unstuck myself to a part where I could run around behind the terrain, which was pretty cool. But I was able to get out by unsticking myself a couple times near the edge of the terrain. Also works if you get unstuck to a point where you cant move at all. Just /unstick a
bunch.

i dont think you people should ask them to nerf unstick...its a very usefull tool when you really need it.
BUT they should jus make it so that you cant unstick while cloaked...simple as that.
