Hey all, I have helped a number of ppl, but im stopping with carbine. gonna do swordsman now.

the whole ranged stuff gets too boring. there isn't much of an 'animation' to ranged proffs. melee, i think all animations are diffrent.

Bye!!!

I quit too. I don't like a large number of the changes which have been made, and I see the coming imperial crackdown amplifying all the things I already don't like about the game. I know that many people like the changes that are coming, but they will make my already painfull gaming experience worse. So I am moving to DAoC. I have no real desire to play WoW. I guess I'm turned off by the arogance of blizzard fanboi types chanting that it is the best game ever when it is not even a beta yet. Also I played Warcraft III and I thought it was a poor progression from warcraft II.

I'm almost there...

Started FFXI this weekend and it's a hoot. Regardless of some things, I can't over how fast, beautiful and robust it is -- here's a company that clearly isn't letting bugs go public. And I LOVE the way there's 1) no lag in combat, and 2) no combat spamming.

Of course, it must be because there's no PvP It really makes a difference in a game where's no one is trying to out-uber each other for ganking.

Note_to_SOE: less than 20% of your user base play PvP (I believe TH said 15% this week)?

To whom it may concern,

Just wanted to let everyone know that I have quit SWG for personal reasons and not any kind of gripe about the game. I've been here since launch and it was a blast. To everyone Iplayed with I'd like to say thank you. Take care everyone.

Just kidding!

LOL, It's funny seeinga handfullof these today.

But it is also kinda sad, seeing people getting so mad at a gamethat they are just not able to adapt to.

Actually this is a major problem withSWG that's mostly overlooked. Every two patches it seems like you're playing a different game. Got to get new food, weapons, armor, and possibly respec or tweak your template. This lends credence to the argument that SWG is stiill in beta (a beta we get to pay for ).

My BH is a pre-Pub 18 carbineer, and if I wanted to seriously hunt jedi again I'd probably have to respec to rifles or CM, get new (and sliced) weapons and armor, relearn all the specials, reapply tactics, etc. Yes it's possible, and you can argue it's part of the game. For me, it reinforces this game as feeling too much like real life (having to constantly relearn and retain) when it should be providing escape from it.

If you think this is normal for a game to continue to radically change, it's not, or it shouldn't be. Case in point is WoW. Over 7 months now and it's still the same basic game and interface. Very easy to jump right back into it after a quarter of a year gone. Contrast that with SWG, where if you left for 3 months you'd be relearning your chosen template or switching, and investing in new equipment.

You do have a point but:

1. I think SWG is much more complex of an undertaking. There are 40+ professions and endless combos thereof. I cant even begin to think how one balances all those things out

2. The only major change that really altered the game has been the CU. Everything else is just tweaks. You dont have to be a riflemen or even a CM to beat Jedi! You could do something like MBH/MC and pick up medic 0-2-0-0 and Pistols 0-0-0-3. You get a root and w/ BE clothes and a med droid you can also enjoy some real good heals!

Like I said, you've got some good points but to enjoy the game you dont have to have a template that takes full advantage of the current system! It is very possible to just "tweak" what you got and still stay "in-the-game" so to speak.

Just my two cents

You know, when you log into the game, there is a little box that says: "Gaming experience may change during online play". All of us knew this before we even began to play, yet it astounds me how many people are taken aback when their gaming experience changes during online play.
