Thread: Skill mod question

I'm not a BH and I'm just curious as to a couple of things.

What's the difference between the "track" feature and the "find" feature?

What does the "tracking droids" skill mod do? Also, since you have +4 modifier to the "tracking droids" skill at investigation 3 and a total of +12 modifier to the "tracking droids" skill, what does this translate to in practice? i.e., what's the difference?

I've looked through the FAQ stickied at the top of this forum but it hasn't really answered my questions.

The mods do not work as it takes longer after you train 4 then at 2.

It would make sense that the "difficulty" mod is present in every profession and is used to calculate /con and mission terminal difficulty.

How well do the defensive skill mods work in general and as follows specifcally(esp. in PVP):

Dodge

Ranged Defense

Defense VS Blind, Dizzy, Knockdown, etc...

Combat Equilibrium

Defensive Equity

Block

Counterattack

and any I might have missed.

Thanks a bunch.

in rifle skill mods such as speed and accuracy, are the numbers such as +10 or +20 a percentage (i.e.+10% or +20% to rifle accuracy)? or is it mean something else?

Speed mod is a percentage reduction in base speed. Which is why it caps at +100 for all professions.

Accuracy is something else. Though we aren't sure what the accuracy formula is.

Okay as a MRM I have a 'speed' (both general and rifle) of a total of +120

I am using a HLR and my modded speed is 1.35

If I buy a CA with +10 rifle speed... exactly how much fasster will my rifle fire?

Is there a good site that explains all of this with regards to CA/AAs?

Yes I know that for attachments...

My real question is how much of a difference will I see in my rifles speed?

Just +10?

Nothing significant, but every little bit helps.
