Thread: Solution to House Hiding: Discuss
OMG!!! I would flame you at this point.. but, I still cannot believe what I read.
Force me to come out of my house? You want some strings on my arms, head and legs too?

I have been sitting here and ive pulled 4 or 5 jedi missions. and ive asked round my guild about this. As you all know, House-Hiding seems to be a jedis only way to avoid being hunted. I have been thinking what can be done to solve this problem.
One idea i tossed round in my head was to generate a TEF on the jedi once the Bounty Hunter uses the "identify target" command on his seeker. The TEF would effectively remove the jedi from whatever house they are hiding in and force them to be apart of the PvP part of their template. If the bounty hunter doesnt attack within a certain period of time, the tef drops and the BH must send out the Identifying Seeker again. This WOULD lead to the issue of BH's just using the Identify Target option on 4 out of 5 droids they send out. To solve that the "Identify" option would now have a chance of success in identifying the target" if you fail then youd have to wait 5 minutes before sending out another identify droid. As far as the "track target" command, this would work the same, the ONLY way to draw a Jedi out of a house would be using the identify target option.
I know theres plenty of you who want to flame this idea...but its what ive been thinking about and if anyone thinks thered be a better way to go about it, post it here...i think with enough ideas posted we could get this looked at
No. Be crafty. Be a BH damnit. You aren't getting into private houses...
Hmm then I want a Force Pull command that yanks off your weapons and armor.
J/K
There is only one problem with this:
It's a game and people have real life obligations and necessities. You can't control the behaviour of your children, telephone calls, relatives dropping in, annoying salespeople, paying the pizza delivery guy, et al. If someone was smart enough not to sit outside AFK I'm not going to penalize him for it, so apparently, have the devs.
Now before you go "well they should just logout" consider that many of the things I describe, they don't plan on taking very long, so it took longer than they thought. Sorry.
Sometimes it's just revenge on you guys since you get to hunt them for XP and Cash and cause XP Loss. To them, it's a just turnaround. They just caused you to burn time and money, same as when they die. Not nearly the amount, but enough to tick you off. Just like they get ticked off when you kill them.
Good for the goose is good for the gander, right?

are there any BHs left in this forum? Or just jedi complaining about everything?
Sure there are BH's left in here.
And it seems to me it is a BH whining about not being able to get to a hiding target that is doing the most complaining in this thread.
/violin
Oh and im also a MBH/Mrifle/Reg medic. So when I play that lil violin, its so that you know my heart bleeds. BH wasnt meant to be simple, much like the jedi wasnt as well. You aggravate a jedi with lost xp and time, they aggravate you with house sitting for lost time and credits. Get over it and learn how to hunt.
Or respec to dancer and your problems are solved.
the only hope we have is the upcoming ranger revamp..
if he's in his house, lay a booby trap right outside his door, and cover and wait till he gets out and spring trap
