Thread: Investigation Tree
Fellow Bounty Hunters, have;nt been on this forum for a while but is there any news as to making the investigation tree worthwhile with skills that we may actually use at master? I know a while ago there was debate on player traps and detention devices - any news?
Thankyou

Is ther an easy way to work up the investigation tree ?
i know not getting eny boxes til you have enough for the first three is one way but i want to know is there any quicker way to get investigation xp.
well, there really is no other way to do it till you get to at least investigation 2. At investigation 2, you are able to jam the uplinks of the opposing faction's bases. Each successfull jammed uplink will earn you 1000 BH xp, regardless if the base is destroyed or not. If you know of a lot of opposing faction bases you could get into to jam some uplinks, then you can use that method once you hit Inv. 2, and if you take out the bases, all the more fun.

^^ What he said. Jamming uplinks is the best, least frustrating way to go about bh xp!
I grindedthe investigation tree4 times, pre-cu, and uplinks was definitely the way to go, because bases really weren't that hard to get into. So what I would have done was, get to 6000 BH xp, train in Inv. 1 & 2, and then start jamming uplinks. What you will want to do before that is make sure you have faction bases you can access, and that you can handle the mobs that spawn there. I haven't gone near a factional base since the CU went live, so I'm not sure how hard they NPC's are now. I just remember those beefed up Exogen Class Storm troopers from the pvp bases back then who used to tank ancient krayts for me without a problem. Those guys were not fun to fight overt.
Hi, I really want to grind the investigation tree but it is a long hard process. Any tips on how to grind it? Thanks.
PS- Im a level 77.
Also I would like to point out, I posted a ? on the forums about hunting jedi in groups.
Its impossible. I couldn't even heal my friend against his first jedi, and he was killed. So it doesn't work at all. =|
Im kinda scared to go against my first jedi. =|
Any tips on making it in undetected though?

you both need to have the same jedi's mission to attack..no healing cuz of tef. any jedi is gonna know you're a bh if they're not in a crowded city...blue dot grinding=someones screwed. might help to have a non bh tag up, rifle /cover and crawl works but takes forever.
yes the only way a group can help is if you have a sl with ya......and don't be scared of Jedis , the're really snuggly and fluffy and all that good stuff
im still working on inv. 4....which is taking way too long, especially with the new expansion coming out, but i plan to join an side and slice some bases...heard that was pretty good. ok onto investigation tips!
from novice bh grind up to 10k xp, it'll be your cap and you should get pretty far with it, then just grind it out, you should be about halfway through inv 3 after you cap at 10k, then its just a hard grind. good luck!

That's about the long and the short of it. DO NOT train from Novice BH until you cap out at 10k. This is because after level 1, your marks jump planet on you.
To grind out all that 10k investigation, I would recommend going to the Coronet. In the city square, between the cantina and the medical center, there is a BH terminal and a SpyNet ops within 25m of each other. Stand between them, and grab a mission, talk to the SpyNet to get the wp. If it's over say 1500-2000m drop the mission and go again. Takes hours of grinding, but you will make it! Just be patient.
