Thread: Healing droid vs CM healing? which one?
yeah agianst a jedi they would put it out of comission, the problem is the way i have my template i cant use recon armor because my rate of fire and accuracy are reduced by 17 percent.. plus im outta skill points.. and i know agianst a jedi i need recon armor.. right now im basically gonna have to jedis with my BH armor that has only 5300 agianst energy.. im screwed..
I was gonna buy RIS armor but i cant even use that either.. this sucks!!
Im a novice medic literally only novice medic, with droid and healing efficiency mods im healing for 1k.
If your worried about your droid vs jedi get one with a lot of auto repair units, and some high power droid stims, and call the droid from the deed for the first time during the jedi fight. The first time a droid is called from its deed the armour is 6x as strong. You CAN call a droid from the deed during a fight. Remember to group with your droid to give him extra protection.
This will have lots of benefits, your jedi wont know if its bomb droid or not, this will distract your jedi, also if your jedis hitting your droid he aint hitting you, thats your mind being saved right there, also an R3 does kinetic Melee damage, your jedi's PSG does nothing against that. For fun why not change you combat medic skills from healing over to get yourself some fire. The chemical fire is plain nasty. Giving your jedi more to think about and more to worry about can only benfit you.
Another idea is a mse droid with healing, far more difficult to target and again can worry a jedi, especially if yo shout detonate in spatial making the jedi think youve mistype detonate for a bomb droid. instant distraction
.
amazing, i just talked to a smuggler, he wants 7 million to armor break slice my armor that i paid 4.5 million for.. what the hell is goin on in this game? lol
Shock absorbant padding is very difficult to find you are talking 500k a piece often some smugglers have good contacts and get it cheaper others dont and work long and hard to get it themselves. Whats going on in the game? Im a BH I want 20 mil for a CA that I got as loot.
Iv seen a few times that its been mentioned that a mbh who has CM4000 healing could rop that and instead get a healing droid.and use the skill points for osmething else. is that true? cause with cm4000 i heal for about 1k health.. is there a droid that does that? id apprecaite any help cause if there is a droid that can let me drop cm healing that would be awsome!
With an R3 medical droid (which also is a nice melee attacking DOT), some citrus snowcake, a +19 healing efficiency undershirt and Medic 0010...I can heal between 1300 and 1400.
For NPC marks, it works brilliantly. It would probably be somewhat less effective versus Jedi, as they will be more likely to put the droid out of commision, or you might kite yourself out of the droid's healing range.
MCM, 110 Medic droid, +42 healing eff. citrus snow cake = 1500-1600 heals. I couldn't believe it yesterday when I healed myself for 1653! About crapped myself.

I'm currently Medic xx2x with +25 in HE clothing. With a droid I heal for about 1100-1200. Yes, the droid can get incap'd by a bounty, but the HE mods are still in effect granted that you are still within range. Basically this makes kiting a bit harder, but it helps to tank the damage. I basically use this tactic for known cloakers; close in, let the droid get cap'd, then just beat them down
You'd be surprised how many opt to fight instead of running when they realize they can't cloak there
not knitpicking here but is this not what some would call an exploit? It is a known bug that the HE mods should not be working after the incap of a droid. and furthermore taking advantage of a known bug can be characterized as an exploit. I'm not accusing but this does not exactly appear to be how 'it is intended' to work, if so I stand corrected.

Very good question and to be honest, I never thought of it that way
I simply assumed something inside the droid acted like a booster-transmiter, so even if the droid was disabled, the internal component kept the mods active
Then again, I might be grabbing for straws here, so if something official comes out and says otherwise, I'll do what I can to stop using this method
Either way, there isn't much we can do to prevent the (possible) exploitation. The mods stick regardless and we can't store the droid after it's been incap'd during combat. So if the Jedi decides to stay near the droid... well, I'm going to get the mods

Can you get some answers for us regarding Droids in general Samous? Whether or not some of these things are by design or considered bugs?
1.Medical droids giving healing bonus after incapitation.
2. Droids being healed from medic-line skills.

I'll check into it
2. Droids being healed from medic-line skills.
Already been checked into. We're still waiting for Dev response

there was a video posted a month or 2 ago on these forums showing a csr showing up as a bh was healing his droid with bacta spray. the csr told the jedi this wasnt an exploit and was acceptable.
