Thread: TANKS, Can we states to work.

As it is right now, STUN, DIZZY and BLIND have almost zero effect in the post CU. Is there a way forBlind to decrease accuracy by -200. STUN to decrease defense by 200 and Dizzy to work the same as Intimidate. Here is an edited Idea, perhaps Dizzy could break COB, Dueliest Stance and Force Aura and Force Valor, plus burst run and Force Run. Make the States a more of a DEBUFFING effect, perhaps we could just call it PURGE.....that is a WOW joke.


We also need to get the bleeds to work a little better, the bleed needs to be an action Debuff. Not only should it cause 50 damage per tick but it should also decrease the regen rate of the action pool.


Last few question, if you shoot a jedi and he starts to bleed should he be able to cloak? If he does cloak do you think a bloody trail would be hard to track and shoot? Other question can we get a quest/loot/skill to "track" our target and be able to negate CLOAK.

Eyeshot needs a revamp


Current eyeshot justtemporary blindsthe enemy. It should drain them of their ability to heal.

You might want to consider that most Jedi have all states at their disposal, also. Jedi with Powers x4xx (thats the Force Cloak line) can also inflict stun and dizzy states with only one attack.
As for the bleed: Your mind is clouded, you dont see anything a cloaked Jedi leaves behind.
Concerning items to be able to uncloak cloakers: No. Credits (which your proposal ultimately is) should never be a 100% counter to a skill worth 28 skill points. Ask for a skill to be added (outside of BH).

For the second point, the BH can track a Cloaked Jedi with droids to his exact place. I would think that spending the 120ish Skill points to be able to take a player bounty, ( master BH)should be enough skill points to be able to DECLOAK a jedi. What do you think.

Hence the reason the Dev's changed Jedi Mind Trick to Cloak, They knew some would be insulted by what the power really is, Mind Trick. As for states I am soooooooo in favor of putting some BITE into states. Currently there is no use for Rifleman 0020, 0002, or 0004 all recovery skills granted in these boxes. Force healer 0004 all states recovery, Pistoleer 0040 Stun recovery skill granted, Doctor 0400 tons of useless skills in this tree, Swordsman 0040, 0003

And there are others the point I make is the CU placed these abilities throughout the Elite professions with some sort of need intended, States in their current state are about as usefull as the Govenor of Louisiana (sorry mad at her for not supporting the mayors mandatory evac). A little bite in them would make some interesting changes in the game.

I would love to see states such as bleed a little more effective in any combat. However, as others have said.. you gotta be mindfull of what you ask. Nearly every combat profession can apply some kind of state. While this could help some professions, this could really hurt others. Just imagine a jedi that for some crazy reason went with 1h saber and actually knows his template. If states are to effective, your screwed with out a way to heal it or atleast counter it.

Thats what I am saying - if youre up against a MLS, you better are really good at kiting or have Stabilizers.

djeez....how about asking something resonable?


the only state not really working is stun...blind DOES lower accuracy a lot, I get hit A LOT less by blinded targets, dizzy lowers defense by 80 already

What your asking for would totally screw us over. Imagine trying to hit a MD with your modified version of blind. Or a MLS laying into you while you're dizzy.


Dont people think of consequences anymore? I'm all for making moreskills useful, but obviously those things are a bit gamebreaking as it would unbalance pvp.


I would rather they get rid of things like confusion shot in general and make up some real skills specific to each class. For instance, BHs: Maybe some sort of circular shield 100m from the BH and their mark, to prevent runners, something new and useful.

We have a blind/dizzy/stun/kd recovery as an elite combat class. ANd I have 271 accuracy with my BH/Carb and that is before I use my +60 Accuracy E11 Mark 2, so before food I am looking at 331 accuracy, add pyro and I can hit 570 accuracy. What does that do against someone with 700 ranged defense, nothing. I hit a master defender the same amount of times with my 331 accuracy as with the drink and 570 accuracy. Blind would not effect me that much, since I can use the blind recovery.


I bet that most people only have the KD recovery on the HOTBAR and have not thought about the other state recovery keys because they are worthless.
