make a camp and go in and out of it over and over
I hate to ask, but do you mean move your toon in and out of the campsite over and over? Or build and instantly destroy over and over? Thanks ![]()
For a single-person camp, the max exp is 600. That is only if you leave it up for it's full duration. I haven't seen any significant bonus from having multiple people in camp. However, you may be able to beat the curve if you have more people in camp because you can erect multiple camps in a short amount of time and get more points than 600 in the same time span. <shrugs> I don't know what would be the most effective. In any event, for a one person camp, the max is 600 a shot.

Single camp:

540 exp

620 exp (max)

Multiperson camp:

760 exp
I use a cooking timer and set it for 15 minutes... Craft a boat load of Stimpacks (for exp) and remake it. Seems to work out nicely when you don't feel like interacting with the game much and want to websurf or watch TV...
Sitting in a single-camp for 15 minutes gives 600 xp and usually gets rid of most of my stat wounds. I usually spam my friends with messages while I'm sitting around. heh
Probably the best way to get maximum use from your camp is to take up Surveying from the Artisan profession. This damages your Action and Mind pools which will recover and give better exp for your camp. Every time I was out in the wild and had to go away from the keyboard for a meal or to go grocery shopping I'd set up a camp and start sampling whatever was around. While I was gone my character would keep surveying til he was exhausted then recover. When I'd come back I might have a lot of really crappy material that I'd give away but I'd have full exp for my camp (600 for Basic and 800 for the second Multi person model).
As a Creature Handler you can also knock down your Mind and Action pools really fast by having your pet perform it's Trick over and over again but (and I'm still not sure one this) recovering from this damage doesn't seem to give exp with the camp.
Anyway good luck and good hunting.
