Orrrrrrrrr..if they get taken down by said BH, give them blue glowie for say a period of 1-5 days depending on how far along they are? Naturally the 1 day would be for fresh paddies and the 5 would be for full templates.

That way, it gets them to reconsider visibility and it gives the BH a little added incentive to continue their mission.

Sounds goodsince it only takes 10 hrs to grind out a double master non-jedi character from CL 0. Let there be a reasonfor theFAST EASY xp grind sinceeveryone cryed when the DEV's tried to reverse the FAST group xp mistake from the Combat Upgrade

The Jedi community is now one of their largest player bases. If they were to impliment something like that, many would cancel their accounts (if they suddenly deleted my characters, I'd probably do the same). So for them to add perma-death, they would ultimately lose money. No self-respecting business will ever take an action that it knows will lose it money.

Not only that but the new players coming in are probably heading in that direction. Another 4 months and 3/4 of the SWG population will have a jedi in one form of another.

Well, if the game continues in the direction it is going with nothing but Jedi running arround, it will make this happen anyway, cause the game will be even more worthless to play than it is right now.

The problem with implementing perma-death for jedi when they are killed by a BH is that it will only encourage more jedi to run and hide.

If you want to find 99% of you marks running, hiding, cloaking then by all means, push for this change. But if you like a good fight once in a while when you pull that mission for a mark that will fight instead of run, I'd suggest the topic of perma death be buried in the deepest pit you can find and never mentioned again.

A blue glowie system wouldn't be horrible, you'd hear a lot of crying from the jedi that it's no fair, it punishes knight/finished templates, it's too strict etc.. but I agree, something needs to be done about all the showboating jedi out there. I can't go anywhere without hearing a saber light up at some point.

I have a jedi, who I play mostly as a pve toon. I'm on the terms all the time because I help guildies doing quests (like the Avatar platform), I don't mind the occasional BH visit, it's part of the game. But if they show up at the wrong time I'll let them know. (one showed up at my door as I was logging for the night - I'd already started the /logout sequence) If I'm at the keyboard though, I'll fight BH's that manage to track me down.

If perma-death was implimented for a BH death, you can bet I'll join the ranks of the runner/cloakers. I've worked too long and too hard on my jedi (I'm pre-pub 9, casual grinder that just finished my grind around the start of the CU) to lose it all because I had a bad night, or ran into a BH that happens to be better at pvp than I am.

Being a Jedi use to mean something, pub 9 changed all that. Master Bounty Hunters use to be respected before they changed the pre-requisits and gave everyone a respec. Now we're both stuck in the same boat.. We're both part of a profession that is over-run with new 'masters' that haven't actually played the game or experienced anything that makes SWG great.

Rather than try to punish the Jedi for something out of their control by suggesting perma death, why not try to find a happy medium (blue glowie) that still punishes the show boaters and gets them out of sight for a few days, and gives the BH's a sense of purpose (population control). As it is a BH kills a padawan and they just join a spin group and get the xp back in a couple hours. If they were forced to take downtime (blue glowie) they'd think twice about getting on the terms before they're ready. (I never appeared on the terms till the CU hit)

How can I possiblly have saber envy when I have a Pre Publish 9 and a Village Jedi and about to unlock another on the next village phase on a third account?

I got sabers all over the place.
