Whatever way you wish to argue it, it's not fair that Jedi can't go and do their RL things such as answer the phone, without worrying about getting killed while afk. To do that safely they need to drop a house as we all know.
House sitting Jedi who go afk just to p*** off BHs, well thats another issue.
A suggestion, Jedi that are in houses can be attacked by bomb droids, /picklock whatever. They are supposed to be hunted.
Give then a /safe command. My idea works like this:
for a period of up to say 10mins, the Jedi character is 'locked' out of the world - ie they can't move, nothing can attack them, they can't attack obviously, they get no cash or xp if they part of a group, buff timers are paused. The toon is visibly there but effectively not present.
It cannot be turned on if they are in combat, have a BH TEF, within range of an NPC or mob etc, say 20m etc etc. It's not to be used an escape.
This would allow Jedi to leave the k/b relatively quickly without worry to deal with RL stuff. They could macro it if they were going to be away for longer (perhaps for a max period of half an hour?)
Thoughts on this? Please be constructive ....

There's already a topic about this that the corrospondant started asking for thoughts. Post your ideas there please, where it'll actually be listened to by the corroinstead of clogging up the forum with useless rants.

If you're going out for a protractred lenght of time log off, simple as that.

But thats the point i dont know i am. I could **modbot** to the shop and not want to logoff and get stuck in traffic or have an accident or anything.
Getting people out of houses as the correspondant said is a no go, inform BH at the point of first droid sent that they are inside a structure and there you have it.

do that, and jedi will just run inside the portable house every chance they have.
kill a lair, hit the house for recharge. more house time = less bh chance.
the solution is let the jedi who want to pvp be on the terms, let the pve guys not be listed at all (sf / onleave). anythign else will end up just like it is now

Takes 30 seconds to apply and you'r 100% safe
Yeah but with that they have to spend the time logging on again, and if they have just gone to the loo thats a bit of a pain for them.

So a Jedi can choose PvP on/off whenever they feel like it?
Yeah right ....
My idea turns *everything* off so no recharge.

When you logout with the /logout command, login in again is like taking a shuttle : very fast
During the time you're offline, no one can track you
During the time you're login in, no one can attack you
During the time you're offline, your buffs don't go away
you choose your way, but login out only has Pro and no cons.

Why would you go out and leave yourself logged into the game? Seems pointless.

as long as you force ppl to pvp who don't want to, this problem will continue. let the ones who want to fight fight. if only sf jedi are listed, you can be sure you will find a mark that will stand and fight you. if you are so intent on making everyone fight, regardless of what they want, then get used to staring at the red force field.
