Thread: Is this true?
I just read on a different website that in the next patch everybody will be able to store and call pets.
Is this true?
Whats the point of a CH if so.
Heh who told you that? lol god that would make everyone too uber... a Rancor for everyone! hehe I seriously doubt this is true, because, your point exactly, whats the point of CH then? If everyone could store and call pets, wouldnt help much without commands, and that is a Novice CH skill, the Devs wouldnt do it. If anythign they're more nerf happy then uber happy.
i can't be certain cause you didn't say where you heard it, but i think you may be talking about this
http://www.swgcenter.com/info/article.asp?ID=700
this is stuff they have in development. CH's should still be useful since they are the only ones who can train the pets, and since they are working on the pets being able to die under certain conditions then this should be both usefull and potentially lucrative. the parts that specificlly relate to CH (and there's probably more in there down at the bottom, i read this a few days ago and didn't really take the time to find more info in the article) are:
Creature Handler
Non-creature handlers will not gain creaturehandler xp now.
You must have at least a 15% chance of taming a creature to get the taming menu option
Reduced regen stats of baby creatures and pets.
Creature pets will have the same chance of being death-blowed by ferocious creatures as players do
A creature pet which is incapacitated when its master is killed or not around will die (pet control device will delete itself).
Baby creatures will not attempt to follow each other
Pet control devices cannot be transferred to someone who is at their max-count for number of stored pets
Creature handlers will be able to transfer pets to non-creatureHandlers. The non-creature handlers will not be able to train the pet new commands, but they will be able to store them, call them, and issue any commands that the pet already knows. Note, only certain types of creatures, all fairly low level, can be controlled by a non-creature handler.
Pets can now attack creature lairs.
Fixed scaling bug with tamable creatures which resulted in too-small or too-large baby variants
Hope this helps some.

i dunno when they mplement it, but yes the plan is to give all the posseblity to use a minor pet, NO rancors tho, so relax ![]()
imo its nice and all will be happy with a little neat pet, i like my pets ![]()
from bos i dunno, because u still need to train the pets, so its a market for us CHs to teach pets and sell them to ppl who like em
So the better question will be, what's the best level 9 (or whatever the max level ends up being) pet we can sell to the masses. If the above poster is right about the "less than level 10" limit then the Zucca boars of Tattooine may soon be a hot item.Challenge level of I believe 9, but some ferocity ![]()
It'll be an interesting sub-plot to see what becomes the favorite of the non-CHs
Can't remember where I read that, but that's what they mean
heh then honestly it's pointless to have a pet other then for it to literally be a pet. Durni's and Gurrcats won't be too much help in battle. But whatever, this isnt bad at all FOR CHers, trust me. In fact, it will make us richer and in more demand!
