Hey there guys, im a new bounty hunter and was lucky enough to get master after publish 20. Now i regard myself as not the best PVP player, but not the worst either, I can use skills in the right situations well, but i can't pull any magic with em.

Now as a new Bounty hunter I templated myself to MBH/Master carbineer and CM 4000. Ok so my first 5 missions were full templates....being a new BH i obviously got eaten. Eventually I was lucky enough to get my first padawan, that didnt go to well, he used forced run and hid himself in his house while he sent taunting tells at me. At this point i got rather frustrated and swapped Master carbineer for maste rifleman to get more range incase another nub like that happens to try and run, that way id get range and gun him down.

Ever since then ive got nothingbut full template jedi missions. Now i know there are some amazing PVP players that might kill full templates...but i find it impossible. Ive tried everything possible 8k energy resist armour, capped t-21 rifle, good variety of food. but the full template jedi always comes out on top.

Ok fine I wouldnt mind killing a few jedi template afterwards as soon as im used to the system killing padawans. One main reason i chose to become a BH is because of...ya know....$$$........well ive lost more money than made more money.

So what am I supposed to do? Dont tell me that im a n00b who cant kill full templates and make it sound like everyone can.....well I cant.

I just wanna know how you guys kill em, Ive had a skim read through ajianaas "how to kill full template guide" but that was deleted for some reason.

Please Im looking for answers besides...."look for another prof"....because imho....the life of the jedi is supposed to be more difficult than the life of a BH.

Thank you.....

Hey bro, I am with you. Went after my first Jedi last night. I think the Guys name was Aznac or something. (great guy by the way, after he pwned me, he bowed and went back to hunting, no smack talk, no insults, a true professional.)I didn't even know how to find what he was, so I just jumped in with my pistol blazing and tried my damndest. To be honest I am not even going to slink away like a coward when I run into a Knight or a Master, I am going to go down shooting if I have to.

I don't know the answer myself, but anyone that gives you grief for trying to learn is the real N3wb.

I understand your frustration. I believe when they made the payouts random, they instantly stopped the progression of ALL new BH coming into the profession. I was fortunate enough to begin my jedi hunting on 150k and gradually worked my way up to enjoying the full template fights and garnered some respect on that front -- though still can't seem to beat a MLS/MDef since I don't have the firepower, even after timing my attack perfectly right after a big PvE battle last night (according to the JK mark it was timed perfectly).

Keep sharpening your skills dueling jedi even if you don't take the missions. I personally think that's where you need to focus your time. You're not ready for the 1 in 10 chance that your mark is not a full template and the 1 in 20 that they're online. Use your time better and you'll improve.

Hang in there,

First off, nowadays you have to try to outlast the jedi. yeah some folks have their own methods, this is mine,

Be able to heal yourself at least 3 ways, get your armor 75% anti break, and wear them down.

Root em, drop em, slow em, so they dont run,,, sometimes you cant do anything about it when they have force run 2 or higher. but hey, you can track em. patience, and take your time.

well I always start off my tactics like this:

I see jedi....

*Knock him down

*bleed him

*Alternate Head and critical shots

*whenever im lossing health I heal myself ( CM 4000 is quite effective )

But these are the problems faced.

*The jedi barely takes any damage

*He heals himself as well as I heal myself

*His saber does unbeleivable damage

*he always manages to root me

so really im always facing a battle being the almost certain loser.

And to be honest im sick of spending millions on killer BH equipment......i would like to make some money you know.

oh and out of 5 jedi, all were master or darn near full template.

is it too much to ask for to get a padawan to slap around?

expect them to be full template. stock up on food, stims and buffs.. the buffs wont last long, but should help you through their initial attack.

With the right equipment and food you should stand a chance.

Armor - Go with Recon armor, better for hunting Jedi. Use your other armor for when out grinding or something.

Clothing - you know you can wear clothes under some armor right? and if you find a good vendor most the clothes will have slots for attachment. Only increases your chances of survival.

The T-21 is a really good rifle, sounds cool too, but personally I go with the Adv Laser. I didn't know the difference between the two until the guy makin it for me explained that they both are almost identical except the T-21 has less accuracy.

(Insert Plug for Weapon maker here) - Corbantis server, look up Vyros or Subai.. they make the best weapons.

Food - There's allot of variations here with the food, if you know a Chef ask him to hook you up. It just depends on what you are wanting at the time, more range, more defense, etc. etc...

Ashes to ashes, dust to dust, imma steal your ADK and let your lightsaber rust!

This is true except for Wookiees. Does anyone know if there are any Wookiee items that have sockets and stack with armor?

Have too agree with MX13. Patience is important. I have a knight on another account and was helping some people grind on dant. We were killing some pickets when someone used an area attack (u can imagine what happened next :smileysurprised. While trying to keep people healed I brought alot of the agro on myself, eventually becoming incapacitated (even at knight 8 level 81 pickets is bad). As Ilay on the ground I seea blue dot coming up on me fast and think Ah Crap! Sure enought the BH nailed me while I was getting up and took me down before I could do anything. Did I get mad, No, in fact I congratulated him on good tactics. At the expense of sounding arrogant it is very unlikely he would have beaten me had he attacked me with full health. He probably understood this so used his "brain" instead of his "braun." Just something to think about.

I personally find that if my initial flurry of KD followed by coincussion fails I am in for a long fight that I will normally lose. If I can kd then root them in that position with adv concussion from M. Smuggler then they are hurting. I can then send in a 2000 point bomb and time a critical hit with the bomb. Unless they are using a force crystal to get 5k of health this usually Incap them. If not I concussion again and decide if I want ot run or fight it out. Usually to my death. It is really helpful to get them on their backs though. THen all their inate armor goes to crap on them. Also get 7k+ energy armor, all the KD tapes you can afford and a full armor break slice on every piece of armor. If they KD you and then armor break you, they will hit for 1300 to 1500 dmamage and kill you in 5 secs, period. SIce getting 7600 armor and a full armor break slice and about+26 worth of defense versus KD I ahve not been KD'd or had an armor break, I still often lose cause I do nothave the fire power of a Rifleman but I do not lose fast and that makes it a bit more enjopyable and most full temp Jedi's will appreciate that and give you accolades afterwards.

PS any MBH on Gorath that wants an armor slice give me a yell, I have all of the required components and will cut rebels a fair deal.

Hope it helps.
