Thread: Why it pays to NOT attack LD Jedi (sometimes)
You did the right thing. Well, right by my standards. Everyone has there own standards to play by. Pesonaly I don't attack LD or Loading toons. However, once they move at the starport or are at the travel terminal, I hope to cach them off guard. Sorry if they are loading out, I have no idea if they hit travel yet. If I can hit them while they are distracted with a another window (i.e. trade, misison, inventory, travel, whatever) then that's to my advantage.
On the other hand, if I'm chasing them and they run into whater and go LD, I have to think they did that on purpose. Who knows, its your judgment.

It really isnt too fun to me if they dont do anything. Im not in it for the money, I get enough credits from space
To me its all about the game.

There is absolutely no problem with killing a player who is LD either. Its totally up to the individual to decide how he wants to play his toon.
If you look up the definition of a bounty hunter you will find this - SOMEONE WHO PURSUES FUGITIVES OR CRIMINALS FOR WHOM A REWARD IS OFFERED
That is the only fact you must follow, anything after that is up to the player. I personally would kill a LD Jedi as I am after the cash and nothing else. I don't want honor or recognition, I just want to complete my contract, kill my mark and get the credits. However I don't think there is anything wrong with what the OP did, that's up to him, we need variety in the game, if we all play the same we will be likedroids or something
there is a difference between logging out and being disconnected!!!
Obviously, if i had engaged a mark and he ran, then logged out in an unsafe location, i'd complete the job, but an obvious disconnect, where's the fun in that?
each to their own, i just think that instapeace keeps getting wtfpwned and needs to take his mark wherever and whenever he can!! If i'm wrong, fine, but why he'd have to come out with such a BS statement suggests he's a kiddie with no idea

the problem with that is that if client stability was perfect i would say ok, but sometimes you just lose connection... crash to desktop and and other stuff... you could even have a fuse go out because your neighbour decided to plus some stupid thing that short circuited the entire system in the building... i remember grabing a cable in physics class and puting 1 end in the hole and the other end in the hole beside it making the fuses jump in the whole school, a lot of times its not the fault of the player but something else.. certain players do just a /quit.
To the OP, be proud on what you did it's always nice to see there are still players that have honor.
