Thread: SWG = the new Jedi Knight game?

There are way too many jedi around, Jedi should be mysterious, hidden and it should be a surprise to see them - and to get to it should be 10 times as hard (not only time-demanding but actually hard). What SWG is like now: 1/5 (at least)of the population are Jedi, and every night in theed 20 Jedi are battling vs each other...What kind ofstarwars feeling is this...The devs wanted to give the game more of a starwars feeling by adding the CU? I have no opinion about that but it's quite hard to achieve any type of starwars feeling withALLthese Jedi running around, half of the people pvp'ing are Jedi. This game is leading toward a total Jedi war, like the Jedi Knight games (ok maybe a bit exaggerated lol). But let's face it, there is no way of "fixing" this. Adding perma-death or major XP losses and go back to the old BH hunting system would be considerable, but it would make Jedi mad - and resulting in people leaving etc which means less money for SOE.
My point is that - making a game that reflects the starwars saga ispractically impossiblesince everyone are "Jedi-freaks" and are willing to do almost anything and spend any amount of time to become one.
I just wish the game was different...

i totaly agree they should bring back the blue glowies so when a mbh does kill them there dead for good(just make them start out at jedi inate)

blah blah blah...posted alot, everyone knows there are alot of jedi ingame. besides more people to choose from to hunt..and soe will never bring blue glowies and make jedi start from initiate...they would lose too many subscriptions..and it doesnt help that it is a bad idea

yeah - well they should always have had the perma death, adding it now would make people whine more than about the CU (I was one of the whiners so no offense lol), well people would leave and stuff... not good business. I fear this game is lost, once it had the starwars feeling, while jedi were extremely rare and the few people who actually were Jedi were verycautios, never wanting to be seen with a lightsaber. Seeinga jedi back thenwould make your day...

My god, be thankful they permit someone without foresight or intelligence to post an opinion on these forums. Are you that deffecient to feel killing off players is how to make a game better? Pure ignorance...

Well now going Jedi is your alternative to a galactic civil war. Thank your selfish short sighted peers for that one and of course whoever calls the shots behind the scenes.

Nah KOTOR 1 is better when it comes to Jedi ....even less bugs 
But oh i forgot there u cant show off ure superior abilitys to other people and feel like u have skill. Thats only possible here so go on Jedays....

Well u have to thhk that the game is going along withe the storyline. Even though we are in between 4 and 5 in the EU jed have come back. So i think SOE just skipped a few pages.

you say put the old bh days back ok well put the old sabers back my friend make it so a bh with half a clue and a t-21 over 1000 dmg cant run up and just punch the jedi full of holes, please. get some skill then, and only then if u have a problem can u whine.( but keep in mind the old days where meant for 4-5 bh to kill a jedi not 1bhwith a half decent weapon.)but i agree as is jedi are to open about it... i walk around and see every other jedi with their sabers out, i think im one of the very few who never has my saber or robes equiped or title. but they need to fix something about it. 
idea why not make it so if 5 NPC or PC are within 60m of u with either the robes or saber equiped and imp/reb shuttle lands and about 20 high class mobs just open fire?. it sounds about right for me

nothing better than walking through any major city and seeing 50 jedis with their sabers blazin' standing around nonchalant (sp?) with no recourse.
shouldnt the empire call in some kind of death squad to eliminate them? shouldnt the loyal citizens of the empire be able to teach the scum a lesson?
an npc gank squad and saber tef might teach the jedis a bit of humility and to keep their high metachlorian levels a bit more secretive.
