Thread: SWG = the new Jedi Knight game?
There are more Bounty Hunters than Jedi in the game.. FYI

There are way too many jedi around, Jedi should be mysterious, hidden and it should be a surprise to see them - and to get to it should be 10 times as hard (not only time-demanding but actually hard). What SWG is like now: 1/5 (at least)of the population are Jedi, and every night in theed 20 Jedi are battling vs each other...What kind ofstarwars feeling is this...The devs wanted to give the game more of a starwars feeling by adding the CU? I have no opinion about that but it's quite hard to achieve any type of starwars feeling withALLthese Jedi running around, half of the people pvp'ing are Jedi. This game is leading toward a total Jedi war, like the Jedi Knight games (ok maybe a bit exaggerated lol). But let's face it, there is no way of "fixing" this. Adding perma-death or major XP losses and go back to the old BH hunting system would be considerable, but it would make Jedi mad - and resulting in people leaving etc which means less money for SOE.
My point is that - making a game that reflects the starwars saga ispractically impossiblesince everyone are "Jedi-freaks" and are willing to do almost anything and spend any amount of time to become one.
I just wish the game was different...

If u look now more exactly u would see that Force Sensitive is the most played proffession. What that means? It means Jedi pick to 99% the fs combat skills before they grind their padawan. They also have to at least 90% BH alts. Simply to play on both sides of the Game and know how a BH is going and to defeat more easy. So if u add Jedi alt BH's which are much more than true BH's + the true BH's which are still alot cause its a strong ranged proffession with the nice loot missions u get to the most played proffession of course. But if i look correctly i would say not even alt BH's and true BH's together are more than Jedi cause u can see there is "Force Sensitive - Combat at the 1st rank - means Jedi or at least force sensitive which leads to jedi is the most played proffession. Always when i go to dant agro op i see people shouting jedi spin group looking for lvl80 jedi to join or something ...much less nowadays than non jedi groups or even noob players with lvl1-50 around. Same is for the higher populated places like some spaceports. I always see a group of Jedi either overt and waiting to pvp or just duelling each other for a lightshow.
The fact that the non FS Jedi Proffessions are not higher on the rating above is simply cause many people have unlocked but not grinded their jedi yet - thats why it is since CU / double XP / respec much more easy to únlock. Wait a few weeks or maybe even months then u see the Force Jedi Skills do a high Jump up the ladder and are the most played proffessions and the 2nd most often played Proffession. I would say Saber Mastery and Defender next to BH then.

I would love a non-jedi server, every grind group I get into I'm the only non-jedi sometimes there's two of us. But on Radiant the Jedi population has to be about 80%.
The worst thing is that players are rewarded for going Jedi with a second character. This is backwards! Being Jedi should be reward in itself and non-jedi should be rewarded with the second character.
My primary reason for going Jedi and the FS grind is the second character slot, I'd rather keep my Wookiee rifleman but once I'm there at Jedi I might as well just keep him going. This makes it so there's only really one alternative and that's to go jedi. So in effect SOE is pushing the players toward Jedi.
Simply reward players for not going Jedi, that's the only way to reduce the jedi populations. BH missions have obviously failed miserably with the xp penalty so it shoudl be removed as well.
So, instead of giving the second character slot for becoming Jedi players should get it as a Veteran reward.

Remove the 2nd character slot form Jedi and see how many BHs there really are. And, if you read, it doesnt put all the Jedi in 1 group, it splits them up. Combat FS is the most played profession, how many Jedi have that?
Incorrect it's the most DABBLED in profession, where BH is the most mastered profession...you could always use the arguements that the majority of BHs have Jedi alts...remove the Jedi they'd still be BHs.

Also Remove the BH Alt off of the Jedi second account. You know the ones they used to repeatedly Fight clubkill their BH alt toon to horde Force Points andnotice the number of BH'sdrop even more,
