I have very bad news for all you players who don't have a clue:

SWG is dying!

More and more people are becoming jedi everyday. Already, 75% (rough estimate) of pvpers are partiallly jedi of fully templated jedi. This number is only going to increase. And with the increase in jedi population, SOE will begin to focus more and more on jedi problems, leaving the rest of the community out to dry. Soon, the non-jedi players will begin to quit or they too will become jedi (as SOE makes it easier and easier to do). Then all you jedi will realize that this games sucks when everyone is a jedi, and you will quit too. Aikes even says the Age of the Jedi is coming. To bad the Age of the Jedi also means the death of SWG.

Now, i'm not saying that this game will die in the next few months. SOE will use expansions and such to milk as much money out of the game as it can until it dies. I can see this game limping along for another year, maybe a little more. The only problem is:even though i love SWG, why should i playit and waste my time when i know it's going to die in the near future?

Ahem, Chicken Little, this game has apparently been dying since 6 months after it started. Did you know UO was dying too, and EQ, Lineage 2, FFXI, et al.

Oops, all of them are still around too, and so is SWG. Will it last forever? No. No game ever does. Incidentally everyone still has their alts. Oh and you don't know what else the devs will do. Jedi has already been nerfed from 20x power to 1-1.5x

Go ahead, claim the sky is falling, even if it's not true.

Did you know
SOE has changed this game 3 times
Jedi went from being an Icon to a normal profession
The combat system is being reduced to Enemy Territory online

Do any of those other games have an obvious "alpha" class that almost everyone wants to play? NO!

Sure, some classes might be unbalanced, but there is no special class like jedi in any of those games.

Actually Yes.

For the longest time UO had the pre-casting mage alpha class for PvP, before that it was the archer, later other thing. There are still annoying grind up "alpha" classes that are unbeatable.

Ask the WoW people about nearly unbeatable templates.

There exists, in many games, classes you have to either unlock or grind out that are unbeatable by any other template 1 or 2 or sometimes even (rarely) 5 v 1. If you didn't have a pre-casting mage alpha in UO and ran into one, you... didn't... win... ever... It didn't matter if you were a PvP god and the other guy was only a good PvP'er.

Tell me how many pistoleers and carbineers (not to mention melee's) can beat a MBH, MRM, P0004 1v1 when the rifleman has ranged arms. Assuming both players are equal skill, they won't... ever...

The only way to assure that there are no alpha combat classes, well, that's to make it so there's only ONE combat class.

Come on people, I have been around since day one and people were putting posts just like this one. If you really hate the game that much why don't you just quit cause I know lots of peeps who are having alot of fun these days doing pvp/whatever makes them happy. I am personally happy that I will be able to pull the correct faction mission on the first try . This is just my 2 cents but at least I am not crying like a baby . Also for anyone who did not know, soe bought the matrix and is starting up another mmorpg based on the dc comics universe. So it would appear that SOE is dominating the online gaming world. ......

QFE, Exactly. Regardless of the Jedi who say their profession has been nerfed. Fact of the matter is they are still an alpha class that a lot of players are going to go for.

New paddy spawns everyday. Now with the no name missions, Grind groups not allowing visibility,... The end is near. SOE is better off dropping the rest of the professions entirely and renaming the game, Jedi Wars Galaxies.
