Thread: Good luck soloing any of the high lvl mobs now.

Few of my buds and i got on before they took the servers back down. Krayts, necrosis and many other high lvl mobs have had thier lvl changed and the attacks they use. Most of them are going to be very very hard even for good player groups and impossable to do alone.
Necrosis is now useing choke and lightning and hits way harder than any real player powers jedi. He has turned into instant death now that he is ranged. Krayts now are 1 hit incappers and so are many other high lvl stuff.
Kind of looks like being forced to be in a grouphas taken another step to removing anyone who wants to play alone.
Also seems even some of the grinding mobs are hitting with diff attacks and also are much harder to kill.
There was a few of us online who logged in diff spots so we could check the NPC changes.

Heh thats a good thing though, This game was always far to easy end-game and no single prof should be able to solo nec for example. The only problem I see is Nec was already farmed to hell so this change will mostly hurt the people which arent established yet.
Still maybe this gives some hope for real mobs and OMG maybe some raid contant with good drops
Most peopel playing SWG are just spoiled since the game in general is so easy and dare i say idiot proof when it comes tothe high end content. Its not like any of the mobs require any real strategy. Dunno how any have played EQ2 or any game with alot of high content raiding but all mobs in SWG are pushovers to the easiest raid mob in say EQ2.

Thing is the playerbase is also different especially when it comes to going into a fight organised. So this change will prob force a lot of people to start thinkign on strats when going into an instance.

I was wondering why my BH npc mark rooted me and then the NS's used FA and lighting

Yup, npc specials are back with a vengiance. NS elder with their 1.5k lightning attacks should be interesting to watch now.

Pehaps,
However the publish also mentioned something about "better loot drops" so that we can get weapons or whatever that would make up for this

solo'd a lvl 81 bh mission..yup got rooted/intimidated..but i won..for what a friggin del. trigger assembly..
that blows chunks.

It would appear that the devs want us to play in groups. While I understand that this is possible and even encouraged, this is NOT EQ. I stand, and maybe alone, for the right to have fun as a solo.

ah well now maybe the bh markd would be more difficult. i feel like im doing somethng bad when i get these really good loots for killing something that was so easy i didnt need to try that much.

thing about this game is it doesn't reap the same rewards that EQ or even WoW present for killing a VERY tough enemy.
I kill an elite MoB in WoW I get some nice armor...
I kill an elite MoB here I get a green noob vest....
is that risk vs reward?

but for the krayts and such...they really need to drop something else other than good pearls.

they need to drop something else period....
tissue strength need to reflect difficulty in obtaining. Same with scales. A 79 Juvi should drop far lesser equip than a CL 94 ancient...but in the current system they could drop the same 30 dmg base tissues.
They need to put loot like it was pre-CU with krayts and pearls: low krayt=low pearl. high krayt=high pearl
but instead of doing it for pearls (hell even forget about pearls, it was just an example) they should make loot tables reflect that pearl example....
greater risk in the fight, the more you get from it.
