Thread: Good luck soloing any of the high lvl mobs now.

yea i do agree the krayts and such should start dropping better pearls and such again but i do like the fact that they're stronger now. I think something like that should have some difficulty to it. id be in a group and drop an ancient fairly easy now it would be a challenge

Yeah, Krayts weren't meant to be solo'd. Before this publish I could solo any Krayt from juvi to ancient, and that shouldn't be how it is. I havent tried after today's publish, but will when I get home from work.

problem is there is little rewards to PvE atm for anyone.

BH NPC marks have the advantage of possible decent loot mmore than anything in the game.

Even there though it isn't that it drops good loot more often but that BH's can find them more frequently.

Yeah and currently none of the high end mobs should drop any high quality loot considering how easy it is to kill any high end mob...Why for example should nec who can be soloed or is really easy with 3 people drop truly uber gear if its so easy to farm him?


Hell you dont even have to fight to get there cuz the devs are idiots and none of the mobs in their deathblow, no reentry timer either hell i could go on and on on how that Nec instance is really bad and makes farming idiot proof. As for the BH marks. I killed a Boss just before reset and while he did a little more damage it certainly is nothign to write home about. Which kind of fool would create a instance with no reentry timer?


Overall this change is needed im sorry but even if you like to solo you should NOT be able to solo all the high end content that the game has to offer.

I dont know if I would say it's needed. For things like NPC missions, they are not harder... just longer...


I'm indifferent on it, as I never farmedkrayts or otherwise that much. But I'm wondering how many people who wanted this is going to whine more and more later when they cant do the things they could before. Serves you right is all I can say.

/QFE Whole-heartedly agree. 2 players should NOT be able to take out Necrosis, the Acklay, Krayt Dargons, etc. The loot vs risk ratio is too low. For a premium item drop, it should require at least a half group of veterans, but shouldn't be so difficult that a full group of mixed veteran/intermediates cannot kill the mob.


With the new npc AI and difficulty, I wonder if this means that the loot tables were adjusted? Krayts, are a big issue, they haven't been dropping premiums for months. Now that they are more difficult and require a larger group, I would wonder if the drop will be more on the level with Necrosis dropping a Bane's Heart. It happens, but about once in 25 kills.

that's what happens when people come in with fraps videos of their defender or stacked meleeelite toons soloing what was considered an unsoloable mob in Necrosis.
