Ok, first, to let you know, I'm a jedi with an MBH alt. I started this topic to bring both sides closer, and help you understand the reasons why we do things. I don't play my jedi anymore, I never finished grinding him. Playing a BH is a lot more fun and he is actually a lot stronger. So first, as a BH I must say: yes, jedi hunting is annoying. Most jedi run or cloak if they see you, or simply are afk sitting in a house. It is annoying to spend 40 minutes chasing a jedi and then see the +Cloak+ sign above his head. Some of our NPC missions need a lot of time too, because of the NPCs wandering around randomly, being inside a house, etc. And I'm still on the jedi's side. Why? Well imagine this. You spent about 5 months to unlock your toon and grind a HUGE amount of xp. You could have using nades and get it fast, or be a powergrinder 24/7, it doesn't really matter. After the grind and unlocks you finnaly get the old man visit, kill Mel, start the paddy trials. Oh, I'm talking about post-cu jedis now. So you finally get your saber and can start your jedi grind. Our problems start here. First, vis is inavoidable. Yes, group members don't give vis anymore, but as long as all the people grind in one place, they are going to bike near you, ungroup while you're fighting, coming close to you and asking for an invite, etc. You can't tell all the noobs one by one not to come close, and even if you could it would be too late. Other than that, all invisible vendors inside a house, random NPC spawns, everything can cause vis. And once you have vis you will gain more because you have to have all your force defenses and infusion turned on 24/7, and BH fights give more vis too. Second, post-cu jedis have no weapons. Oh yes, the mighty lightsabers. Imagine that you had to kill 1000 (and it's not a joke) krayts to get a weapon that is maybe a little above average. It can't be sliced, it can't be puped. You also have to get a 12pts LS crafting suit somehow. So please understand, crafting a lightsaber is NOT EQUAL to going to a famous weaponsmith and buying a rifle for 8 mils, then ADKing it. And even the best lightsabers have a lot lower damage, higher sac, and higher speed than a good gun. Grinding is a real PAIN, as you need a lot of xp (20k for novices - nothing. 200k for tier1 skills, 400k for tier2, 800k for tier3, etc.) and the gained xp is 1/5th or 1/6th of the normal amount. Anyway, even if you grinded a lot, CMs and Docs outheal us, BHs outdamage us, etc. So what remains for a jedi? Specials. Jedi can FR, cloak, AI, and that's it. Are you still surprised that we run instead of fighting? Actually, jedis can't win a fight. They can either lose or kill the BH (or run away) but can never win. Even full-template post-cu jedis can't really kill a good BH with the best CAs and AAs. By the way, these don't even seem to work for jedis sometimes. And why don't full-template jedis stay and fight? Well if you wanted to change your template, you wouldn't want to start from -10m xp, would you? After that, everyone says 'stop crying' if a post-cu jedi starts complaining. BHs say: 'come on, you're the alpha-class', pre-cu jedis say 'the grind is so easy for you', they can never actually see that this grind is pointless.
Please don't flame. I did not write this post as a cry post, I do not want anything nerfed. I just want all the BHs (and jedis) to understand the aspects and motivations of each other.

aquiring jedi right now is the EASIEST its ever been ... visibility can be controlled COMPLETELY at this point by getting a grinding group of friends together and going to some remote location ....
everyone who plays this game plans on playing for a year at least ... getting jedi is not hard when you think to yourself how you would be playing the game anyway ...
there is no possible argument you can come up with for saying jedi need any more leg ups .. they have it easier than they ever have ... enjoy it while it lasts ...

Yes, it's easy, but getting an MBH template in a week is easier. And what if I can't find a group of friends who are always online and start grinding when I want them to? And yes, I agree, getting a full-template jedi is easy, but as I said, totally pointless.

first off you cant get master BH in a week ... second .. you need to take CONSIDERABLE amount of time aquiring equipment which will let you hunt a proffession designed to be more powerful than yours ...... hunting jedi is not as easy as you think .. if it were youd be a BH too .// bounty hunters right now are the most skilled players in the game and this is un-contestable..
and third being a jedi is not pointless .. running a BH guild on my server i can tell you that jedi are a MUST for PVP combat ... it is very difficult for us to fight GCW battles agaisnt jedi guilds .. but we do it anyway ... im sick of hearing jedi whine and cry when they clearly have the advantage ... being an alpha profession doesnt equate into being able to easily kill other professions ...it just means you have an advantage
many people who go jedi arent good PVP'ers but expect their profession ( jedi) to make them one ..thats not the case nor should it be ... SOE cannot forget the other professions and cannot throw class variety in the wind ... jedi power comparedwith the ease to get the profession is still unbalanced in my opinion ... and its provoking more and more regular classes to go jedi every day .. but im willing to deal with its current state ... but any MORE publishes geared to make a jedi's life easier is just going to kill the life span of this game ... MMORPG players are known to appreciate vairety and complex social structures .. after the episode III wanna-be jedi subscription base dies out and those kids move on to other games and other cult franchises .. only the true MMORPG'ers will be left ... and they wont stand for a one class one end game experience game ....

I'm amazed at this comment. Do you know a capped saber can hit for 939 (no armor break) and can hit with power attack (armor break applied) for 1400 damage. That i find much more damage than I can put out with even the most powerful rifles. ON TOP of that some speed capped sabers are at 1.38 speed which is truely a killing weapon.
I have seen no one outdamage a MLS with a capped saber (ok i know new jedi with their welfare sabers can't do this but some have gotten up to 500 dps which hits for around 700 at time with leg, head and body hit) other than MAYBE a swordsman.
As someone else said you have it easy now. My grind involved hours and hours of solo grinding, not being able to group and enjoy my jedi. I COULDN'T EVEN PVP IT as i would suffer xp loss from every death!!!!!!!
Quick edit. ------ GRanted powers jedi get hit for a lot of damage but they chose not to have defenses and are offset by cloak ability. Ok they can keep that skill for the lack of defence but 80% of jedi have aura and a lotta defender and that also makes jedi take less damge. I had a rifleman shoot me continously for 10 mins while i was running aura and had dodge and block foods and he didn't hurt me once.
I plead do you new jedi, you truely have a devastating profession if you know how to use them. Being a BH i've killed many (as they spent all their lives on kash never pvping) and i've died many times as well. The ones who know their profession are something to behold. This comming from a BH who is hated by jedi on my server

Yes, a capped saber can hit for 939 with a good special. A capped rifle can hit for a lot more with critical shot. And powerattack has a nice zip bar that makes it useless. BHs can run around spamming critical all the time, jedis can't run around spamming powerattack all the time.

True but a riffle can only outdamage that if a jedi does not have any defender or ranged defences. I can't hit defenders for no more than 400-500 damage while kd'ed. Trust me you have one of the fastest and most powerful capped weapons of the game. When pearls drop no bh will touch you..
ALSO you don't need to spam power attack hitting for 939 a pop. 4 hits any profession is dead

Yeah, when pearls drop. Like it couldn't have been fixed for 3 months. And 4 hits death only applies if they are too lazy to KD, root, snare, run, heal, whatever.

I read this post , I think the author has a biased opinion about jedi. I dont know what jedi you have been playing on, but the jedi obviously arent up to standard.
An adept jedi can kill an adept bounty hunter.
an adept bounty hunter can kill an inept jedi.
your opinions are biased and inaccurate.

Beleive me, I am a totally average post-cu jedi. I have never spent all my time farming pearls but I have tuned enough to see that they worth nothing.

And a jedi doesn't have any of these skills? I agree jedi are easier to kill now because its mostly 1v1 with the bh situation. But you have the most powerful weapon and the best ranged of cool looking / practical skills out there

The most powerful weapon? lol. Cool looking/practical skills? Cloak, FR, AI. Maybe statis and armorbreak but regular professions have those too.
