im going from melee to bh and i wonder about the temp i should do, efficiency/ fun in pvp , pve...i know most of bhrs are now mcm but 30 min fights vs jedi is not my concept of fun....rifles seem to do about same dmg as carab and pistol also does fast decent dmg, so i wonder if any1 has a nice temp..i think a dabbler has most special hits (kd, root, snare, and all that) but id like to hear few opinions about it...ty all

because unlike mcarb mrifle has the ability to delay your target even if its for 3 seconds.. u get their health down underhand shot startle and critical shot and that prevents them from healing at the moment when they are close to incap

the biggest advatage by MRM is prolly the armor

with mCarabs its the more powerfull weapons and the snare is much better + you get the nyms slugthrower

On ahazi I have a MBH,MRM,4...CM. it's pretty generic, but it works Pretty good. most of the fights that I have lost have been to my noob mistakes.

On Bloodfin I'm making a character that's more geared for general PvP rather than only jedi. He will only be master marksman and a dabbler in most other temps. Only thing I havent gotten a clear figure is what his CL will be.

alright well i have master carbineer and its awsome. yea you dont get the recon armor which is very handy for jedi mission but a good energy layeres battle armor is ok add a psg and your golden. currently i use an energy layed battle over 7000 energy resist and a psg over 2000 energy resist. and i use a pretty good nyms . Ive been successful about half of my jedi missions, maybe even more. and the boss marks give me no problem at all. rifleman is good, but if the jedi gets close enough to you, your done. so you have to have a very good alpha strike with rifles. as a pistoleer i was not as successful against the jedi as i am with carbs. pistoleers have good speed at the cost of dmg. plus all of that speed eats up your action quicker. carbineer is the more balanced of the three. But it is all mainly on your style of play, what works with you. And most of all whichever profession its most enjoyable to you.

Go with rifles. We have the best range and best damage. And if you can find a good slicer we haveok speed.Plus rifles look so sweet lol.

alright, here's the temp:

x444 marksman

x4xx medic

4xxx scout

x314 Bounty hunter

4x44 Combat medic

x4xx Carbineer

xx33 Pistoleer

Probably won't be more than CL 70 if lucky, but with this temp you get:

Adv crit shot

improved confusion shot

improved underhand shot

eyeshot

healing

improved shock

traumatize

Improved electrolyte drain

thyroid rupture

Improved leg shot

improved crippeling shot

intimidate shot

Improved stopping shot

there are others, but I believe these to be some of the crutial moves in all the proffessions

when I'm finished grinding I'll pvp with him and let you guys know how it turnes out.

mbh, mrifles, 4000 cm is pretty effective but you're not going to be doing much kiting. Usually I'd incap on aplha strike then commonly miss the DB because of the range lol. From there it usually turns into a close quarters fight for the duration of their force. Going up against good Jedi...its rare that they'll let their mind go first. It still turns out to be a long fight. With good recon armor and a 53 sac trando mark 1b, I would eventually win because they couldn't touch my mind but it takes forever and they always have the option of running away or cloaking/stasis. Only ones that gave me problems were the ones who used macro exploits. Those guys are impossible.

I've also tried a much bettertemplate last week that included mbh rifles 4004, and cm4004 in my build. Removing torso shot for its dot, I was able to kite those macro sploit guys rather effectively. Paralyze and KD were both uniquely effective in keeping my perma-snared ass at range from them and thyroid rupture reduced damage dramatically. Even the CM's snare turned out to be above and beyond of the riflemen's crappy legshot effect.

Giving some thought on the way my fights usually turn out and the fact that rifles on my server were a dull weapon in comparison with pistol's low sac, nice speed, and same minimum damage as rifles...I have grindedout pistoleer again to test that out. It's nice to have a choice to use kinetic based weapons with 50+ accuracy, low speed, super low sac and buy them out for atleast 10 million less than what it'd cost me to buy a rifle even near those stats. Besides, I get a root and disarming shot Plus I don't have to deal with all of the riflemen issues. I remember when rifles were actually doing alot more damage per shot than pistols. Versus Jedi, pistols seem like the better choice since minimum damage is more effective vs Mdefs.

Post-cu pistols are awesome. Rifles really haven't changed much since release day like everything else. They need some love that ain't coming imho.

I am MBH/MRM/4xxxCM like so many others.

I find that I can heal well in a long duration fight while still being able to deal massive damage. Master Rifleman is a very nice choice since you have a good selection of rifles from the Advanced Laser to the Trandoshan to the more exotic and kinetic damage LD-1 and Fallan Hyper Rifles. Those two babies cut through Jedi defense like a knife through hot butter in my experience.

I like the template overall for Jedi hunting and PvP action. It's VERY diverse and can also effectively use the Scatter, FWG5, Proton Carbine, or any Rifle (with the exception of the Commando Rifles, don't understand that.... you'd think a Rifleman could use the Proton RIFLE... but it's all good)

The specials aregreat too! Sniper shot is highly effective in PvP, but takes skill to pull out in Jedi hunting with no root. Cover is great for getting into range unnoticed, and as above startle shot is awesome since it stops Jedi from healing.

In a long range alpha strike incap situation, a Jedi will stand and heal at least once before you catch up to them for the DB in most situations. I find that by running up to them while spamming startshot will only allow them to heal once or not at all if the timing is right, then another shot knocks them down again for the kill.

I haven't played with the Ranged Cyber Arm deathblow ability. The description says you can do it, but I've not worn the arm while hunting because of the armor hole it creates. Anyone know if it works?
