in game, ctrl-h, known issues. read it.
go look the dev posts if you want to see it in red.
Is AFK macroing OK?
Yes it is. Beware though, not all areas of the galaxie are as safe as they seem.
straight from in game. i would say that is the afk grinding fact of the day.
anyone looking for it, go in game, hit ctrl-h, frequently asked questions, then under gameplay.
Ok ill bite ill give you a simple example of why AFK playing sucks. I will change the names to protect the parties involved.
Bob the Armoursmith runs out Woolamander bones and not being in a guild has to ask around his mates to get someone to collect some of them. He finally finds someone to make the drive over to the woolamander temple which as those who go there will know is quite some drive over annoying terrain.
When Fred Friend finally arrives he finds Ignoamus the novice TKM for PowerGaming-INC guild sitting on the harrower spawn point grinding away and despite multiple tells gets no response (AFK is on)
Sad not to be able to help his friend he notifies him of the problem and heads back home, this procedure is repeated on no less than 3 occasions each time a different member of the same guild is grinding at the self same spot, in the end Fred gives up and Bob can no longer make RIS armour at reasonable prices.

fred and bob need to group and outdamage the other guy. simple really. unless they are jedi, then they can never outdamage anyone unless they have pre cu sabers
seriously, afk killing, which some of you might find distasteful, is legal, allowed and there are ways around any prob with one person hogging the spawn. report it to a csr, let them drop some cl500 sentinals, and then no one uses he spot till server reset.
There is one sanction open to me currently against behaviour I dont like it is called peer pressure.
Looks like all that b1tching, moaning, and crying over on the Jedi forums actually did something.
Congratulations Jedi, you're back to your cowardly safe haven called Kashyyk. Looks like you guys got your way.....again.
I've said it before and I'll say it again, Jedi are the devs bread and butter of this game..So I suppose, who can blame them for complaining..If we as BH's knew that when we were unhappy, throwing a temper tantrum would get us what we want, We'd probably do the same.
Didnt read too much above - stopped at the post where someone called the original guy an idiot - anyway straight from 2 CSR's it is ILLEGAL to grind AFK and is apparently going to be more strictly enforced going forward. So do it if you want, i dont care anyway, but just watch out. There. Sorted.
lets be clear...broadly labeling it as "AFK" grinding is not accurate...some will be afk...but most are ATK...they are just using the macros...

Either way, AFK grinding is back in full force. I took 10 Jedi missions out last night, and every single one of them is on Kashyyk..

how do you call it sorted, when you say some CSR's (wasn't it a CSR who thought "visibility" was a video card issue?) say it's illegal, while the FAQ's in the in-game holocron says it's perfectly fine?
That is not sorted at all...
