You have enough points I think to go master tka, master CH and up the first aid tree. Dont quote me on that, you probally have extra room for a few more skills

Can you believe that under the new jedi system I still have to grind Doctor to complete a Quest?

Would this work to gain easy merchant XP? Have one of my friends constantly walk in, and out of my house, each time paying 1 credit. Then after he spends about 1K, I tip it back to him and he continues doing it again, and again, and again...until im master merchant. Or do I need to wait like 10 minutes before He can yet again walk threw and pay again to get more time?

The minimum time you can put on an entry fee is 15 minutes.

Why the rush then? You can get your first NPC vendor within a day or so of just letting the Bulky vendor sit around doing nothing. After that Go up the Management line and put down a new vendor each time you get one. Doing nothing you will be a master in like 23 days. (That is if no one even visits you) If you are trying to be a merchant to sell stuff just let the xp come as you build your business.

Forgive me if this idea has already been proposed...

I know it's already been suggested that the /join command be removed, but then we are left with the problem of buffbots who make an "/invite <evil-buff-bot-user>" macro. Would it be possible to just remove both commands?

I've thought it through...or made a sad attempt at thinking it through, and the only downer I would see to it is this...

The way it is now, if you're a group leader in an overcrowded area, /invite <friend> is way easier than hunting the person down. If the /invite comand was removed, you could still find who you're looking for by typing "/target <friend>" and then using your radial menu to invite them... it would still be relitively easy.

Did I overlook something, or could this be a possible solution to the Buff-Bot problem?

Well, it could. But as you've also mentioned, in crowded areas it's sometimes very hard to get to a particular character's radial menu to invite them to group. This not only applies in the cantina, but anywhere there are large crowds, and would cause problems for even normal, legitimate day to day play.

However, if you consider that removing the /join and /invite commands really are just an attempt to take the group buff away from bots, why not just shift the thinking into causing all buffs to be targeted? Look around a bit - we've been discussing possible alternative ways to buff groups of people rather than simply having them grouped with us to gain a passive buff. This passivity is what gives bots the ability to function, and withoutrequiring thatbuffs be actively initiated, or a radical change in the macro system (less likely, probably), the bots will march on.

Ok, I get where you're coming from...sounds good to me

On a side note, once you've targeted someone using /target <name> , pressing the `/~ key (the one to the left of the 1) will bring up the radial menu, and each option has a number next to it, so to invite you'd just press '4'

There are two ways to get rid of buff bots. Place the buff ability in a radial menu removing the /setper command and taking away the ability to buffgroups. Both very bad ideas. Or remove the join command.

Its nice to be able to buff multiple people at the same time. Unless the decease the time it takes to buff its unreasonable to only be able buff one person at a time. Plus it will cause problems buffing people really quick. Such as in PvP situations, a quick buff and they are off.

Even by removing the group buff and forcing a buff bot to target someone it would not work. There are several /ui action target commands. A person could still targeted and get a buff from a buff bot.

The best way to get rid of buff bots is to be a better buffer/entertainer then they are. To be vocal with customers and social. Yes they are running a macro and don't care. Macro's are designed to make life easier. Some people don't respect the entertainer profession as much as they should.

Place the buff command in special menu. It appears when you are in a group with other players. It pops up likea box. They will have to move the mouse to start the buff. By selecting the command you start buffing them. Allow the players to actually see the buff timer. So they know how long they have to watch. Maybe even place special animations and colors. Like blue stuff swirling around avatars heads. Showing they are being buffed. Make buffing something special. Make it awarding. Buffing is a special skill an entertainer has. Or if mulitple dancers/musicans are in the group they can all do band flourishes. Making the buff better, or last longer. In fact you could make it so the game makes an entire new group. The Entertainer Group leader could invite players into a separte buffing group. Or an entertainer can invite others into their own special buffing group. Think dynamic. Think creative. We can't fix players but we can try to fix the game.
