No Bounty Hunter nolonger goes fro MASTER BOUNTYHUNTER ???????

What is that for nonsence, i keep reading that BH have NO chances against Jedi, unless you stack up with some LAME Melee proff like TKM ?????????????

a MASTER BH should be able to hunt and bring down Jedi, but with the stories i hear that is NOT possible.

Im currently dropping my TKM to become Pistoleer together with Bountyhunter, and people tell me ill never ever bring down a Jedi with that ? because Jedi are immortal when it comes to ranged attack, if this is true then SOE could easily remove the profession Bountyhunter from SWG since we are so underpowered.

Please shed some light on this matter

Ranged BH's have some very real challenges taking down Jedi. Melee BH's tend to have a far easier time of it.

Now, some Ranged BH's have reported success, much to the disbelief of some other BH's.

I never saw Boba og Jango kill Jedi with Karate thing, no a good blaster did thejob.

But somehow SOE kinda twisted the world BOUNTYHUNT is about ranged attack, real life bountyhunters take down their mark with WEAPONS from a distance they never EVER walk up to thir mark and starts slapping them in their face, DEVS BH need a caretaking here to make a BH a true BH

Yes this dose sux a MBH should be able to take down jedi's to a digree high lvl jedi ay need you to be a MBH with a bit of malee just to help but all in all a MBH should be able to kill a jedi!!! But saying that jango was the only one to pull it of and that was the one jedi with a pistol at close range!!!!!!!!!!! (Befor you ask it was in the clone wars on geo just befor yoda turns up with the troops lol (how sad that I can pin point it))

A Master BH/Master Pistoleer, with the aid of dodge food, melee defense food and clothing, good PSG and steak is more than a match for any non-master LS Jedi, and poses a very real threat to a MLS with a more incomplete template. It also depends heavily on the player skill of the Jedi. I've been seriously a$$whupped by a non MLS worth less than 150k who knew what he was doing in PvP, and taken out 180k+ MLSs with ridiculous ease.

Assuming the outcome of the encounter depends heavily upon the skill of the Jedi, it also depends heavily on the skill of the MBH. Master Pistoleer skills + appropriate foods, bio clothing, and protection allow you to stand toe to toe with a Jedi for a very long time without taking serious amounts of damage. How you drain their force pool and force them into submission is up to you and your tactics. I prefer to DOT the hell out of them with all the innate skills I have, then fastblast them to death, until one pool begins to lag behind and not enough force is left to heal it.Atthat point you switch tactics and target that pool for the win. Eyeshot for mind, Torso Shot or HS2 for the health pool, Legshot 2 for the action. Or, once the Jedi is worn down, you can whip out your LLC, kneel, and go for the one-hit kill. The LLC isn't a great assault weapon due to it's speed and accuracy, but it can finish a half-HAM, worn-out opponent who's without armor REAL fast.

Alternately, you could pop a bomb droid and spam the hell out of sprayshot with a good krayt laser carbine or stopping shot with a good krayt DE10. MBH/Riflemen, while not having nearly the defense of a Pistoleer (eat some thak to avoid the KD) can strafe with a T21 to great effect. Jedi can heal every 8 seconds. In the 8 seconds between heals, you can fire off maybe 5 strafes (more if you're capped with AAs or rifle speed stim). You've got a good chance of landing two shots out of those 8, assuming he's MLS. Two hits to the same pool against an unarmored Jedi is death. Run a looping DB macro and the deathblow is instantaneous with incap.

It's not all doom and gloom, it's mostly brains. A pistoleer BH can afford to go toe to toe in a fight and expect to survive. A carbineer, rifleman, or commando BH needs to carefully set up one or two hit kills and should try to avoid a lengthy confrontation. Use your brain rather than your f5-mashing index finger and your template is less relevant.

That said, a Knight is going to be pretty much out of the reach of a ranged BH in a fair fight. Use your wits. A lot of knights like to show off. Use guile, coersion, and trickery, and get them to allow someone else to do most of the work for you. Catch em duelling another Jedi then blow your droid when they hit half ham, and macro the DB. Go along "combatant" on raids of the Knight's city with the mission on your datapad and wait for the moment to strike the DB. If you've convinced yourself a ranged BH can't fight a Jedi, you've already lost before you take the first shot. Many BH/pistoleers I know (both MBH/Mpistoleer and Desperado/Mpistoleer/Rogue) are among some of the best and most successful PvPers around.

So in response to the original question, no, it is not true that a ranged BH cannot fight a Jedi and win. There are no "claims" of "rumors" that a ranged BH has once defeated a Jedi who was afk taking a crap, or whatever. I've seen plenty of ranged BHs completely dominate Padawans of all levels, and even been that BH my share of the time.

If this game were like the movies then there would be NO jedi at all. Since you pointed at that Bobba or Jango never used karate moves, I thought I should point that out.

The fact is a ranged bh is no match for a Master LS. Hell 5 ranged bh's are no match for a Master LS. A bounty hunter will use whatever means necessary to kill his mark. Right now the best way to do that is melee.
