Thread: 30+K HAM bosses: How do you fight them?

Personaly, I just go right up to them(w/in melee range) before I start my attack, cause then they pull out some crappy melee weapon. Sure, they still can hurt you with it, but I've never had them knock me down w/ their melee attacks, and their known to do that on occasion w/ ranged. Add in my trusty Probot who shoots them the whole time and their a cakewalk

PS: is that cheating?

That's not cheating its tactics.

Personally I do the same thing, for fear of a good armorbreak hit as I have not sliced my armor. I stand at about 15 meters, so they'll pull a pistol. Much easier to manage the MOB than if I start at 50 meters and he pulls his T21. Of course I probably wouldn't do this if I had some heailing skills.

I move into 35m

underhand shot

Advance Critical Interleave with QuickDraw

Heal and normal ranged shots as required (I tend to run out of action very fast)

No problem at all!!!

Mind you, my first boss was blasting me for 500 dmg per shot past the armor!!!!

Now the hardest ones hit me for 100 points... nothing my bacta shot can deal with.

I just wish I knew why the first one was so mean and all the others are such wimps!

There are, it has been said, two types of people in the world. There are those who, when presented with a glass that is exactly half full, say: this glass is half full. And then there are those who say: this glass is half empty. The world belongs, however, to those who can look at the glass and say: What's up with this glass? Excuse me? Excuse me? This is my glass? I don't think so. My glass was full! And it was a bigger glass!

My first 340k HAM toasted my MBH/MCarb character. Despite my health crystal buff, he incapped me twice and was hitting me for 700 damage. Now, that I have grinded to MBH/MCM, they can't outdamge my healing ability. No probot needed, but the bot will speed up the kill a minute or two.

Oh, I'm a MBH/MP/CM4xxx(Medic0410) and I have stims on top of that,so their damage isnt a problem for me either. I just do the up close/probot approach to get it done as quickly and easy as possible so I can get to the next mission

Without any medic skills it can be a challenge.

Doctor buff + Kanali Wafers + Blob Candy + Pixie and I pull out my probot before the fight and have it stand behind the mark so it doesn't get area attacked.

I set Advanced Legshot as my default (MBH/MCarbine) and alternate between that an Advanced Critical. My carbine has a SAC of 56 with a PuP on it, so I usually don't do bad on action. I knockdown every chance I get. I bleed them and keep them dizzy/stunned/blind if possible.

Fight usually requires me to drink ruby bliel about 3-5 times and takes some 1100 or so stim's to stay alive.

Considering I don't have any medic at all, I'm surprised I can kill them. Lol..

I've lost a fight to one of them out of about 50. I forgot to have any ruby bliel out of the crate and couldn't get away in time (root missed).

But honestly since out of the 40 or 50 of them I've done only ONE has had any decent loot, I'm seriously considering just aborting the missions when I get them. 95% of those guys give me only foraged bugs. The rest will sometimes give a smuggling part and/or a BH armor schematic.

how have you fought 50 35k health bosses???

i seem to get 1 35k health boss for every 50 missions i do. i usually do 5-8 npc missions per evening, and some evenings i don't get heath above 20k.

in fact, since the NPC missions i think i've only gotten to meet 3 bosses.

i do get a lot of double gold chev, cl82 marks - but they most of them seem to have the lower health and are very easy.

I of course have no healing besides the normal stim D's. I only take the range defense food, accuracy food, and use synsteak if it is goiing to get close. Dr. Buffs too. As for action I don't really have a problem til the end of the fight, but that is easily handled with a disarm shot, and take the time to regen action, follow with a KD then usually a heal just incase. Only time I have a problem is if they attack with a T21 then I am hit for 500 per shot and have to rely on synsteak.

I use a probot with repair / combat / med modules. I don't really need it, but it does make the fight get over with faster. Combat slows are your friends... low blow for smuggler, thyroid rupture for you CM's. Cuts down the damage you take by a lot...

Seriously... I'm only medic 0020 and I have no problem whatsoever with those marks. If you are, you need better armor, period, end of discussion. Only food I use is action regen stuff so I can use more damage specials.
