How does that tell them if you are there for them?

Its an exploit that is so endemic, I don't even think they realize its an exploit.

If you were a BH that had their mission, they'd get a message that they couldn't duel you because of the TEF.

And get this.... YOU wouldn't have seen the /duel message so you wouldn't knowTHEY knew you were there for 'em.

I can understand that sort of thing from a new paddy... but I get it all the time from full templates. THAT flat out irritates me. Anytime I attack a full template, I figure I'm doing THEM a favor. They're constantly whining that they're bored. But the only chance I have of winning a fight like thatis to start it on my terms.

I actually had one guy stop duelling, run over to an AFK-macro doc, get buffed to high heaven, then come to me, mouth in full gear, before I'd even gotten a return from my tracker. I just dropped the mission and left.

You can report them for harrasment. That's what I do.

Does anyone know the range from with the duel/end duel be performed from? I was circling a group where my mark was located....over 65 meters out, and I had a duel/end duel pop up.

I guess you report half the people in the MO too that walk up and challenge you to a duel. Harassment? Be for real.

if i get within 80m and he's not already bleeding, and lying on his back from underhand shot then i'm doing something wrong.

quite like it when they do it to you and your not on a mission, just do /duel;/chargeshot , nice and quick and geet em kd'd and hit em a few times in a duel and then /endduel when u feel necessary. Surprises em a bit

When I go into Jedi infested areas, I have duel hot-keyed, with my CM fire DoT right next to it.

well jedi that aren't dumbasses (there are at least 5 on my server ) have it in a macro like i do

/duel;
/endduel

if devs want an easy fix to this they could attach a timer to the duel command just they have with combat specials

when you dueled someone you'd get a message saying "you have challenged MBHjediPwneR to a duel...please wait 30 seconds for them to consider your challenge"

all other duel-related commands/system messages would be suspended for 30 seconds, but the bh would see the challenge and it would have the opposite affect it currently does...instead of giveing the jedi prior knowledge it would give bh's a head's up virtually saying your mark has spotted you, you have 30 seconds to do something about it.
