Thread: Stop Whining
While part of the complaint about droid engineering is the imbalanced grind to blueprints (yes, ten droid engineers getting to intermediate could supply an entire server with mouse droids), it seems the primary complaint is the uselessness of the profession.
It's pretty disappointing to earn advanced blueprints and discover there's no new functionality to any of your droids, with the possible exception of adding an armor module on the advanced tracker. As it stands, that level is little more than an irritating prerequisite to probe droids.
Jshap,
You are totally not getting the point. Droid engineers are complaining cause the class is not balanced. How would you like to spend hundreds of hours building up aLight Jedi and find out thataDark Jedi is superior to you by far. It would be extreamly humiliating if BountyHunters were supieror to all Jedi's. Droid engineers should be a comparable class to other classes, instead we are very poor pet masters, and our droids that we try to sell are next to worthless compared to the other pets. I'm willing to bet that droids are going to be worthless on the market. Making the only fun in playing the class .. well, you tell me what a droid engineer is suppose to do if he has poor fighting abilities with a sad pet, and sellables that are trash.
So obviously you haven't been reading up the gripes of the profession, and hence insulting most droid engineers for 'whining', and then saying it was directed at something else. Riiight.
The only way I sell them is because the people buying them don't know just how useless they really are. Most think 'combat droid'... GREAT!
But yeah, they do sell.
Yesterday some female entertainer sent me an irate email. I'm a master musician and I happened to be playing a nalargon in a cantina in Mos Espa. I went AFK for dinner to finda whine saying that I was "not very nice" for being an AFK master musician with a nalargon. According to her, this is because people want to hear a master playing a nalargon rather than a newbie playing Starwars1 on slitherhorn. I had no business being there because I didn't need the XP, she said.
She then goes on to say that I was wrong for auto-declining group invitations. She explained that is because the members of the entertainer group were entitled to the XP boosts I provide.
I'm a master musician. I group with other masters. This is so I never have to hear starwars1 again. If you are an entertainer who cannot compete with an AFKer, I suggest you take up tailoring or pikemanship.
Stop whining.
