This is not a battle...It is a cowardous form of sneak attack...There is no honor in Bounty Hunting, sure some are cool and allow payoffs, but you get the point....![]()
I do respect all BH's and have 3 myself on other servers, but if it is the job of a BH to hunt, then that is part of it. Why not just send a tell "Hey, Jedi, I have your mission." Let's go...
Plus, Pride is not an emotion a Jedi uses to make decisions.![]()

and alive with no xp loss.
xp > anything else.

Sissy is Bounty Hunter-speak for "I wanted to kill you, dammit."
/agreed...A simple tactic that many allow to cloud their minds and they end up dead.
Smart is the Jedi who sees through such deception...
Name calling = Frustration...
Those who can't take the grind hunt the Jedi
Just teasing actaully the non-respec BH is by far the nastiest grind even![]()
I have known Jedi who have hidden in their houses for weeks to avoid losing four hours' worth of xp.
And I don't run. I may kite and try to keep my distance, but once the fight starts, I'm not leaving it.
My stubbornness in this regard has led to my death on numerous occasions. Before the days of 2k-damage-three-times-a-second saber 'sploiting, there came times in fights when I knew I was going to lose. I kept pounding on the Jedi anyway because, unlike the Jedi, I am no coward.
When you consider wear and tear on equipment during a long fight, foods, spices, (and buffs pre-CU), and the cost to replace these consumables, the amount of time it takes to make back the money you have to spend easily adds up to several hours' grinding.

I think it was more frustration that made him call you a coward. I am a BH and I have the understanding that when BH come for targets..some will run others will fight, but The main point of a bounty is for the criminal to try to escape by any means necessary, so I dont regard it as cowardice, just survival.... but man is it a pain in the ass when a mark runs.
And I killed him once...and of course he screams that he ran out of food...Whatever...Run out of stims, food, force HAM, cherrios, whatever...you should have planned better...
Heck in PVP I have 2 bikes in my data pad and place them throughout the city where I am pvp'ing with one deed in my inventory as a last resort...I run around killing others and do well, but in a bind, I have a PLAN...This game isn't about just toe-to-toe hit for hit...there is strategy involved...
There were two BH's on me one day and I got clear of them and dropped a bike...kept running...and the eager one caught up to me and before he knew it his body was cold...As the second one wasted a combat attack on my BARC...I had enough time to hammer his buddy then go after him...THAT IS STRATEGY!!!
Regardless if I live or die, this is a fun game, but this one dude is the best I have seen and until I find the template that will work best in PVP, PVE and FRS, I will keep "MY" options open...

Actually I laugh because everytime I get snared or rooted, I do the same to them and pound away...hehe...
I should have mentioned that the first time the dude called me a runner, I had a full template Jedi head to head with me in overt pvp...Dude has nutz telling me I'm a runner..lol...especially after I just sent that Jedi to the cloner...he was not happy with me and the last time I checked...a full template Jedi assisting a BH with a mission while we engage in pvp is INSTANT DEATH... I lived, at least that should have been you lucky$@#%#$^%$ worthy?????

*shrug* It's their job to kill you.
It's NOT your job to die.
That's not cowardess......It's self-preservation. That's just good role-playing. You should play yourcharacter as a living being who cares whether he/she lives or dies.
On another note, the statement that a BH cant have honor because he/she kills for a living is an overgeneralization. Think about it this way. BH's are hunting "criminals" as far as they are concerned (and the terminals always give reasons that the Jedi needs to be hunted such as "evil Jedi assassin"). Since there is no option to capture your bounty in the game, killing is the only remaining method of completing the mission. As a player, I try to keep in mind that there is a PERSON playing the Jedi and remain respectful as long as I am able (i.e. remain calm after the hate tells start). I never use exploits, but I will take advantage of an unwary Jedi (i.e.grinding),and normally /bow or /salute my bounty after the fight whether I win or lose (unless he/she used an exploit) and thank the Jedi for an exciting fight.
I do offer Jedi a payoff if he appears to not want to fight, but I do this in character as a role-playing opportunity. After all, I do it to role-play....not to make the Jedi lose XP.
