Let's say you armor break resist slice the helmet, body armor, and leggings, but not the arms. How does that affect your chances of being armor broken?

you are "armor broken" regardless. what the slice does is just minimize the damage bonus the jedi gets if you're armor break'd. just pray you don't get hit on the arms. LOL.

Its a good idea to have the entire suit sliced for armor break.

I understand that it might be best to slice the entire suit, but I was thinking about this last night as I was getting a nice set of Scout armor A.B. sliced, 75% each. The question in my mind was:
"Why slice the pieces that have no inherent protection rating like boots, gloves, and belts?"
The only answer I could come up without breaking down and looking in the AS or Smuggler forums was if you are hit in one of these areas and the piece is broken, as someone above stated, the damage is still multiplied and applied to your health. Not sure if this is even true but I guess it's a possibility.

Not worth taking the chance on NOT slicing your whole suit.
AB hurts real bad. Jedi know this and use this skill constantly on you. You will need all the protection you can get. Also, get rid of any cyber arms cause if they get hit .. you will feel the full damage.

i jsut got rid of one of my 2 cyber arms, and i already felt the difference. (the other +10 ranged i will keep. i like it too much)
i have my armor all AB sliced, except for my +50 health, ADK'd pants. the smugler who sliced it, sliced it for decay resistance!!
and it has +6 accurcy and +10 heal eficc on it. so i am left with one piece un AB'd ![]()

No need to ask... it can't be done anyhow.

PSG dont protect against Jedi's. But some PSG have accuracy mods. So, yeah... you're better off with a PSG.
