Thread: URGENT- PLEASE BRING ATTENTION TO DEVELOPERS

I am one of the oldest BHs in the Gorath Galaxy and I have seen the game go through the "pendulum" strategy of overcompensation/nerfing time and time again, never being able to achieve the "balance" all players are looking for. Now publish 19 is coming, and there are alot of rumors of the changes to take place. Before they launch it, I believe there is a nuisance that can be averted, and that is why I am launching a preemptive strike.

If the developers DO take the ID section away from the BH terminal, there is one problem that will immediately become apparent. For those BHs that take their profession seriously, they will recognize this in an instant.

How do we target our mark, when the mark is surrounded by a large number of targets, that he/she is using to grind. Add to that the strategy jedi have been adopting for the past year, where as they hunt by groups...increasing the number of "possible" targets the BH will have to click through. A ranged BH will immediately loose the element of surprise...increasing the ability of the jedi to either escape or focus their attention on the BH.

Notice...we are Bounty HUNTERS, not Bounty PvP'ers. We hunt our prey, we stalk our prey, we surprise our prey...but for that, we need SOE to at least reduce the number of obstacles we have had to jump through in the past (non working Arakyds, non working seekers, "feign death" strategy, 80% block, Light Saber equip exploit, jedi groups defending BH marks, AA jedi living in cantinas, TEF'd jedi going into houses and now untrackable jedi in Kashyyk).

I don't seek for pity from SOE...but I do seek for SOE to give us a FAIR chance.

Hmmm.. You know how when you're on a destroy mission and as you approach the waypoint, the mission is updated with an exact location? I suppose they could implement the same system for bounties..

...so when you come within a certain distance of your mark, your mission is updated and you're given your target's name..

why not just run your mouse target over the players...you will see what one can be targeted and attacked

just from an immersion point of view--not listing the targets name or how much your going to get for the bounty is just plain stupid. If the devs want to reduce the number of gank squads simply reign back the number of bounties possible on jedi to 2 or 3. Much simplier and yet still preserves immersion.

simple solution: we get the name some time after we launch our droids, be it at the time we get the planet nameor after we arrive on the planet the mark is on. it puts a damper on those who exclusively hunt Jedi they know for what ever reason. if you are determined to go after certain names then you will have to work harder for it. I see no problem as I don't target names just Jedi.

Tanks, hope you are reading this. There are good creative ideas that could be easily implemented. A simple discussion yielding positive results.


Here's another idea...how about an impersonal "/target bounty" command when you are within PvP range?

You get two thumbs up for this post, I love it. Whats next? No amount shown. Ill be flying all over dant and find my target is a CL 52 paddy i can crush in 4 shots. Oh yes, Devs i think you have a great idea. While your at it, take away a BH's ability to use all special attacks........wait scratch that, just make only able to use /MeleeHit.....that'll balance it all out
