Yes the 100K experience loss is dramatic but give it some real thought. Who does the exp nerf really benefit? Sure all people that are already master professions shouldn't care to much. Think about who in the game can solo most everything with relative ease, especially the high exp NPC's. Not the novice marksman trying to grind out master. The exp nerf is meant to benefit the Jedi! Even with the exp loss, they will be able to get it back much easier than someone who is a novice marksman, scout or really any novice profession, who also wants to group. What will happen to entertainer groups now? I really think SOE is a group of guys running a company in their parent's basement. -Seriously. They don't have the vision to see past their noses. Sure the goal is to penalize Jedi, but at the expense of all of us? Not to smart.

Here is food for thought. Anything carrying the Star Wars name sells like mad. Books hit #1 in a day on the NY Times best seller list, music CD's, videos, etc. Star Wars is such a marketable franchise that in 1996 Lucas got us all to go see re-released versions of 20 year old films! Oh sorry, he changed 2 or 3 scenes. Think about that. Really give it some thought. Yet SOE can't turn the SWG MMO into even a top 20 MMO...interesting. No nothing is wrong with the Jedi issue in game. Keep telling yourselves that SOE. Before long, 250,000 subscribers will be your goal, not your current rate!

-Hey SOE, here's a novel idea. Instead of trying to get new customers to replace the lost ones. Try fixing the bugs so you get new customers and KEEP the old ones too! Next time you delete a post that puts SOE in a bad light, think about giving us reasons to put you in a good light instead. ...you see when someone buys the game it means they want to like it. When they cancel an account it means you made someone who liked the game dislike it. How's that good business again?
Where does a 90% drop is customer base equal good business? SOE

Dude, dont blame the guys who try grinding in groups, blame the guys who sat afk in the ryatt trails and got there template in 3 weeks! They just made it to where the new padiwan wont get his full template for 2 years. They made it to where the guys trying to get master marksman have to now grind alone, with no armor, and a 40 dps weapon. Small xp change, no problem but this much xp is insane. I dont believe this upgrade benefits anyone. I also see people telling jedi to solo things like the old system, im lvl 80 with ls 2-3-4-4. I got a bit lucky and got 4 premium crystals before publish 19 and i have a 474 dps saber. I also have 4000 force, but just killing 2 lvl 80 dewbacks took me down to under 50% and took me near 7 to 8 minutes, all i got was 2k xp total. What about all those other guys, non jedi included who have lower damage weapons. This is a bad thing for everybody, so dont blame 1 proffesion, blame the guys who exploited things(by the way jedi werent the only people exploiting the ryatt trails, i had often seen many other professions including bh's, and grenade grinders) This message is probably a bit confusing, but thanks for reading.

In the game's beginning, the first Jedi system. We never had issues like this. We never had crazy and wild nerfs. Then those that have all day to call SOE and whine and moan did so. Now we have 10,000 Jedi everywhere and the game is in shambles (yes it is when a SW product can't even breach top 20 in its genre). Put two and two together. Everyone exploits, but only one profession continually is requireing the game to change for itself.

I think its an attempt to combat the incredibly high number of jedi. They had to hit everyone though because otherwise it would seem unfair, but it is still completely plausible to complete a full regular toon in a reasonable amount of time.

Who does the experience nerf really benefit?

No one!

I mean it may benfit the full templates who won't have to worry about any noobs cutting into their turff any time soon, however in the end thoes that AFK grindedbecausewill loose to the noobs that make Master because they will have more skill and knowledge then a FOTM template jumper.

Yeah.. its IMPOSSIBLE to solo lvl support classes now (seriously, go solo a lvl4 box of doctor) Your XP is divided and you have to do damage somehow... Meanwhile jedi get a singular form of XP.

Consider:

How many are noobs grinding their lvl 80 template and how many are lvl 80 grinding their Jedi?

XP nerf is to slow down the Village trips, and with this limit the number off new jedis, so I guess most off you whining this time are FS grinders

Well the major selling point of this game is respec: The ability, at any point in time, to drop skills and learn others. Think of how liberating that really is. I have two major characters, my bounty hunter who is hardcore outfitted for PVP. He has 8 ADKs, weapons that are cap stats, armor thats capped with HP bonus and every food you can imagine. In short: prepared. Not kidding, I'll kill you. But I also have my floater, my funky colored Twi'Lik that I change template every week or so. One week it was TKM Swords doc 4000, next it was Msmug Mpistols rifle 4040. I have fun on this character, and i also learn the rest of the game. This suits me two ways, one I learn other peoples strengths and weakness, and two its fun. With aXP yieldlike this I dont seriously expect to ever do that again. Sure the jedi grind is hard, but they do get major benefits. Seen FR3 lately? But to hardcoregrind a week and a half to be MCH just because you wanted to know new creature abilitys and name a pet "Furry Tractor" just doesnt strike me as a good expenderature of time...

I support this XP nerf... it stops noobs from reaching cl 80 in 2 weeks and unlockign in 3 months.. it also forces people to learn the game... how is anyone learnign anthing about combat when all they do is run around and shoot a bol once or twice while cl80's tank it.... the power grinding was way out of hand

I thinking its a cheap way to drag out subscriptions that will be dropping as peeps go back to school and what not. Think about it.....there is NO other content in this game other than grinding unless you want to be a looter and run the same repetitive missions/creatures over and over and over.

The number of jedi since the CU is INSANE....it's not special anymore and any noob that can sit in the Ryatt trails afk has a completed template. The ONLY reason this game is still here is because it's Star Wars....plain and simple folks. This game with any other skin would have been toast ages ago.

"The exp nerf is meant to benefit the Jedi!"

I'm not sure whether to laugh hilariously or cry at how ridiculous of a statement that is.

Maybe you haven't seen the Jedi boards?
