Thread: Well, they said that the respecs' would leave...
Im an MBH. I will stay.
If for nothing more than to cause the little punk 12yr old whiney brats another day of frustration. I will stay. If I can cause them as much frustration as they cause me, then I am happy.

LOL. I remember after the CU alot of old time BH's said the respecs would leave after a week or two...
Now, with the proposed changes in BH and the terminals......
Is this gonna thin the BH onslaught??
We are always talking of thinning the Jedi herd, looks like the devs may have found a way to thin ours...
You are seriously narrow minded ... these changes are so significant there actually is no point in these changes ... it won't thin the BH population ... it would be better to create a new profession, BH vs Jedi is dead if these changes go down EXACTLY as they are purported to be right now. I'm no respec ... I'm a respectable bounty hunter and one of the original of ahazi. I have 2 bounty hunter characters THAT's how much I love this content ... and how passionate I am about the JUST SAY NO policy on these changes.

Can you give actual examples as to why you feel that way?
Sorry, no sympathy here if you were doing as stated above .. and if you were not, then this wont impact you in the least. The only thing I do agree with is they should add faction filtering and on/offline status as well as a base amount (say 200k) plus a bonus based upon number of SP the jedi has in his/her template.
To take down a mark I didn't just ride in on a speeder and let numbers do the work. I often paid low levels to tell me what a Jedi was doing/saying and I quite often went after Jedi I saw duelling in startports and juggling their sabers. This patch may not affect the 'pvp gods' who could solo knights etc, but I aren't one of them. When I beat a Jedi it wasn't through my pvp skills or character build, it was because I followed my target, made a note of what they did and asked about them within my guild and other players who often had usefull intelligence (such as place they live, guild they're in, what they like doing [killing krayts] etc).
This patch changes hunting into duelling to me, as it will completely depend on your ability to pvp and have nothing to do with your ability to hunt. As an MBH/MRanger this makes being a spy and stalker completely hopeless.
The same can be said for the type of Jedi you're hunting. I enjoy hunting paddies as well as knights because paddies run more often than not and cornering them in to actually getting a fight is fun in itself, and takes more skill than duelling.
The abuse of this system goes both ways, as now I won't be able to target the Jedi who are saber-juggling and will end up hunting Jedi who are grinding.
Could you be any more of a hypocrite. I will leave, but join my guild!

I'm not a respec and I will leave if the term changes discussed come to pass.
It would ruin the game I want to play, and having paid subscription for a long time and 'got past' the inept way SOE fumble with game code I can't stand to see the one remaining part of the game I enjoy ruined.
I've not cancelled yet, theres plenty of time for them to say this is a belated april fools.

The sig has been there for weeks and I won't cause my guild to lose the advertising because I may or may not yet be leaving.
I'm leaving but join my guild
Even if I had said this exact phrase, it doesn't expose any kind of hypocrisy. If I had said "I think that guilds shouldn't exist but join my guild" that would have been hypocrisy.
Don't randomly flame people - it makes you look like an idiot.

The only part it will ruin is the ability to target a specific player. If you were doing this they you were not operating as it was intented. Remeber the concept was for you to receive a mission from the term, then hunt/track that person down ... not find the person (either in passing or during GCW events) and then look up their mission.

But your describing in " quite often went after Jedi I saw duelling in startports and juggling their sabers" not how the system is designed. BH's are not supposed to make up their own marks, but go after marks given to them by the system. While we both agree something needs to be done with the starport issues (there was a good example given in a anohter post), that does not permit you circumventing the system.
Nothing, beyond the above, changes for you .. you get the mission, get the marks info (im sure will include name downstream .. if not then b1tch and you will get the support of Jedi and BH alike), then hunt them down. More so, a bit of RP is instituted now that you dont know the template the mark has by payout and have to do what you describe (hunt down, study, prep, devise tatics, etc.) .. which should make it even more interesting.
Back to the saber-juggling: The idea posted by someone is that a group of CL 100+ Imp ST's would come down (mentioned would get progressively harder) and attack the Jedi in question should they do that. By coupling this with a BH TEF like feature (i.e. can not obtain help and the ST's could not be attacked by others) then I think you would see less Jedis flauting in NPC towns. There is no reason why this cant be done to control that issue.
