Thread: Why do BH's think Jedi are supposed to stand there and die?

It seems like half the posts on jedi/bh forums are bh's complaining that jedi are either exploiting are too strong, i mean wth, we have a lot to lose so we're not going to sit there and lose all of the day's xp so you can get a bunch of credits and the chance to put us in your bio and brag.

I have been reading threads crying for: stasis nerfs, cloak nerfs (you won that one), force run nerfs, and pretty much every other ability we use to stay alive is supposed to be nerfed. Let me ask you this - if you can paralyze and apply 5 or so debuffs, why aren't we allowed to kd/stasis and regen force? Jedi missions are supposed to be difficult, that's why only MBH's can take them (another thing i've seen people crying about).

*puts flame blanket on*

I'm both a jedi and bounty hunter and from both sides the day the jedi can't escape is the day the game becomes so unfun. As a jedi I like to stay and fight its my style of play my template is master lightsabre master defender healer 3 0 0 0 enhancer 0 0 0 2.I'm built to try my best to fight and run if I really have to.

on the other hand if you invest in get away skills you have to use them as your template is constructed in this way.To me from both sides thats what the thril of being the hunted or hunter is never knowing what your enemy is going to do fight or run.

I know for a fact that if jedi wasforced to stay in a 200 meter''arena'' almost rooted to the spot likea npc bounty everyone would then say this is boring not realistic I may as well hunt npcs.I think that people will naturally say things like this when they loose or feel they wasted time but I know noone would truely want to see things like this become a reality.

It's like Wile E. Coyote Vs The Roadrunner.... If the Coyote caught the roadrunner all the time, it wouldn't be fun. Same thing here.

the day jedi don't have a foolproof way of escape (in this case cloak or FR...but it might as well be any exploit...As they DO love exploiting) a lot of them will quit.

most jedi are just a bunch a whiney little brats who do not realise what class they are playing...who refuse to live with the consequences of their OWN CHOICE to play this class

I seriously think a lot of jedi only have 4-5 buttons in their hotbar....

-single target attack

-spin attack

-cloak/FR3

-FR2

-Channel

and BH don't think jedi should stand there and die......but they also don't think you should be forcerunning 2 hours straight

most jedi than run or cloak by default are just to ignorant to realise they'd win a lot of the BH encounters because there's loads of BH that suck as much as they do (the jedi alt BH's maybe?).....and with equally bad players the jedi will usually win...

Cloak and FR is not an exploit. And to be honest, most exploiting I've seen has been fromt he BHers trying to kill me. I've had ONE BH use 3 exploits to try and kill me and still fail, lol.

Also, Jedi are not required to fight, I don't always feel up to it or am busy with something, so I am not going fight all the time. I do have a schedule.

My philosphy is this, i am a hunter and i am not honorable. I will do everything to make sure my mark is dead, and i never give up untill one of us is dead.

So yes, i will strike when a jedi is incapped or afk, even if there loading in on occassion.

I wont exploit and i expect the same of a jedi. I also welcome the possibility of them running, because i will sit outside there house for as long as it takes.

If a jedi just stood there and let me kill him, i'd be ticked.

Personally i think thats how one should hunt, but hey thats me. I think the biggest problems are these 9 year old kids who assume the jedi will insult them so they start it.

Me, trash talk is for idiots. I just say "Good fight" either way, if i kill them /nod.

If you treat a jedi well you can make friends... So people ought to learn respect and relaxation...
Wow... I ranted quite a bit there

This is the bull i am talking about, your generalizations breed hate for both sides and show really how imature you are!

A. Its a game, so there is no need to be rude.

B. How do you know there aren't cool and laid back jedi, in my 'career' i have met so many amazing players who are some of the kindest and best people for my server.

Honestly, when it comes down to it, no-one is going to help out neophytes like you.

Grow up

Cloak and FR is not an exploit.

where did I say that? they are however a foolproof way of escape...you have to be mentally challenged or afk not to get away with either of these skills.....So they are fairly lame skills imo (3 cheers to SOE for introducing filthy rogues into swg)

And to be honest, most exploiting I've seen has been fromt he BHers trying to kill me. I've had ONE BH use 3 exploits to try and kill me and still fail, lol.

-(multi)sliced sabers

-overloaded sabers

-speedhacks

-faction base abuse (not an official exploit, but certainly not working as intended)

-FIGHTCLUBS

no to mention all the player griefing with jedi thugs killstealing all the time (pre-curb)

Also, Jedi are not required to fight, I don't always feel up to it or am busy with something, so I am not going fight all the time. I do have a schedule.

I hear that a lot, yet most jedi saying that prefer 2 hours of forcerun/sitting in a house over a short fight, even if they have nothing to lose (yes jedi have it easy now when it comes to xp loss....But even full template jedi STILL whine about it)

My philosphy is this, i am a hunter and i am not honorable. I will do everything to make sure my mark is dead, and i never give up untill one of us is dead.

3 cheers for you

i love hearing the same jedi claiming one day that they should be SOOOOO powerfull you should only be able to kill them in a sneaky way....yet start an enourmous whine when a BH actually does it to them....

B. How do you know there aren't cool and laid back jedi, in my 'career' i have met so many amazing players who are some of the kindest and best people for my server.

there are, they're a minorty.....so called alpha classes always attract the worst kind of people, leading to a big % of very unpleasant jedi....

I have loads of jedi which I call friends (or I like em at the very least)......people who act normally to be I treat with respect....90% of the targets I run in to do not in any case fall in to that category, they are just annoying, arrogant potty mouth l33t kiddies, or adults who think and ACT like they are better than everyone (running or cloaking with their glowie stick)

Honestly, when it comes down to it, no-one is going to help out neophytes like you.

I quit the game for 6 months, within 2 weeks of coming back I had a full set of layered jedi hunting armour, factoin amour, several grinding suits, double capped weapons, food and all I needed...

I got it from both REBELS and IMPERIALS.....so I guess you're way off on "what it comes down to" I justdo not like the majority of the skilless overpampered jedi-whiners...

djeez one of the guys brining me up to speed with the curb even was a rebel jedi (and yes I'm imp)...why....because he likes fighting people like me that don't talk **edit** unless spoken to (which happens on a daily base with these newbs jedi cupcakes)

fact is....most jedi will keep on whining till they single handedly can take down 20 regular players....And most likely untill they can do that they will still only know one way to fight.........cloak or FR.

just face the fact they are mostly acting like little spoiled children...if you don't believe me...check the prof forums.........check the jedi and BH forum....then check smugger/carbineer/SL........HUGE difference in attitude

Fixed. The consequence is to be hunted, not to be forced to fight.

Bounty hunters get the first shot advantage. If a Jedi chooses not to stick around, that's his (or her) choice. I seriously doubt that when you go to Dathomir you fight every rancor that aggroes you. Running is a legitimate option. A "real" Jedi would only fight when he absolutely had to.

most jedi than run or cloak by default are just to ignorant to realise they'd win a lot of the BH encounters because there's loads of BH that suck as much as they do (the jedi alt BH's maybe?).....and with equally bad players the jedi will usually win...

From the sound of your rant, you must be one of those "equally bad players."

By the way, I've never met a Jedi I couldn't catch up with by either unequipping my weapon and hitting burst run or jumping on my barc and storing it when I'm about 45 m away then hitting them with my underhand shot. The key thing to remember is that they're probably not running anywhere in particular--they're just running away.

For the same reason that Jedi think that BH are supposed to walk up and give them a "fair fight"
