Thread: Edge of map, in the water, mission incomplete
yea this happens all the time. whats funny is when you send out a seeker and they dont move till you get close then they warp 6k away. yet they have no speeder out for me to destroy. [you know they cant run that fast]. its got to be the most lame excuse for a hunt ive ever seen as well as when they are in the water [even if its the only miniscule lake on the whole planet] oh and they can attack while swimming too. thats really lame being we cant. i know there are some peeps that need to get thier head outta thier asses and get this right. at least b4 they go and introduce more stupid bugs into the system..with another expansion. hell ive been bugged on a kashyyyk quest ever since it was brought out [sent in 20+ /bugs on it] and have yet to hear from a csr on the problem.is anything at that company not totally about money? i used to play this game 8+ hours a day being a work at home and have the time. now this game makes me so nausious i play mabey 30min a day now......thinkin of sellin out.
just exercising my 1st amendment rights. ill bet on swg i dont even have those lol..[wouldnt surprise me one little bit]
Look at the map (ctrl-v) if the mark is on the edge or in water launch a seeker...
If the seeker finds the mark and it is still in a 'bad' location wait until the seeker loses track and then launch another...
The mark will have moved and then the mission can be completed...
The key is not to get closer than 500m or the mark most likely will NOT move...
I have done this every time this situation arises and I have never had to cancel a mission.

QFE - this solution should be stickied.
The mark becomes stationary when you get close enough that the yellow dot appears on radar - before that they are constantly moving so........
Arrive at planet, launch seekerand check map - if it looks as if mark is in a dodgy spot, go shopping or something but wait until you get a response from the seeker before closing in on mark. Dont get within visual range until you know the mark is not in the ocean, edge of map whatever.

QFE.
This is what I did to get the mark out of the water north of Kaadara .. just waited for him to come to me.
I went AFK and when I came back the mark was 90m from me ... stuck in a building!
