This is for Jedi only (for now)
On-leave: Same as we are now. No visibility Gained.
Combattant: Decreased Timers, +5% force regen, Visibility Gained at normal rate.
Special Forces: Decreased Timers, +10% Force Regen, 5% damage increase, No decay of items on death, Visibility Gained at 50% increase. 5% decrease in SAC/Mind costs.
This reward you for increase risk, yet allows the PVE jedi to play unharrassed. The only drawback is that GCW would generate vis. That is the price for playing though.

Interesting idea. I don't wholly disagree, but why would a Combatant or Special Forces Jedi gain bonuses to force regen, damage, SAC/Mind Cost when no other profession in the game does? That doesn't seem very balanced to me. If anyone should get those bonuses, it should be the on leave jedi. This will typically be your non-full templated grinders, right?
While I see your idea's as being very creative and well thought out, I don't think Jedi should have any sort of break at all. We chose this life, we also understood that being Jedi means risk at any given time. Under no circumstance should that ever change. The way things are now, I have to think carefully at what I am going to do when I log my jedi. I pre-think my course of action before I set out for a day of adventure. I love the feeling of having to look over my shoulder constantly. That is the only reason I continue to log my Jedi in the first place. The more we as Jedi ask for concession's to be made the more chance we stand to be nerfed into a starting profession. Iimagine one day, there will be a training saber in every new character's inventory ![]()
If I want to partake in "hassle-free" PvE content, I just log my alt ![]()

Won't happen.
1) Jedi are a PvP profession. Everyone knew that when they started the Jedi profession. Don't like it then play with your free toon and stop trying to nerf professions to suit your play style.
2) This would allow Jedi's to grind to master with no VIS penalty and allow them to flash there lightsabers all over cities with no consequence. The one thing the Dev's have tried to stay consistant on is that Jedi are suppose to be in hiding during this time period, thus we havethe the VIS system. Live with it.
Furthermore....
If you think we see too many Jedi standing around now, then let somthing like this be implemeted and watch the whole Jedi pop go on leave. Then there would be Jedi in the hundreds running around dueling and such. /shivers

3) This would encourage even more people to go Jedi. I guess you want a server full of Jedi, personaly I prefer to have avariety of professions running around.
4) We all know that 90% of the jedi would stay on leave, and those few who tried to go combatant/SF would be hunted non stop by all the BH's since they would be the only missions on the terminals, which would lead them to go on leave also. So you end up with 100% jedi on leave ...
So basicaly your idea is not a good one and only benefits Jedi Professions.
Tired of people wanting there jedi toon to be there main toon. There's a reason why the Dev's give you guys a FREE second toon...

have you been in space? my jedi is my main toon.
there are plenty of jedi that like to fight "just look at the boards"and if the FRS is PVP you will need to be hunted to get rank.
I know, and I agree with almost everything said here thus far. The only thing I don't is that on-leave jedi should get bonuses. The simple reason is that I don't want to rewardpeople for being cowards. The bonuses, with the exception of the SF non-decay, are things that the jedi profession badly needs. I would also like to see bonuses to non-jedi SF/Combattants aswell.
The majority of the jedi population would stay Combattant, while the PVE only wannabee can go about being pve without the rewards for risk.
I would also like to see cloning xp loss come back.
With SF, squad leaders effectiveness would play a bigger role in combat.
What would you like to have for non-jedi bonuses?

A one time choice is a bit harsh, but I see what you are getting at. Dallow suggested that easy-mode jedi wouldn't get a second slot, but that only fixes future jedi, not the ones now. I am in favor of choice, and I believe that if the changes that I suggested go into effect, more jedi would stop wanting the pve option and get back to acting like real jedi.
