Jacella,
what do you think of my idea for "easy mode" i mean let the ones that want t play easy mode continue on but without the power a jedi should have and then myabe the whining will stop and the fun will begin for those that enjoy the PvP
A one time choice is a bit harsh, but I see what you are getting at. Dallow suggested that easy-mode jedi wouldn't get a second slot, but that only fixes future jedi, not the ones now. I am in favor of choice, and I believe that if the changes that I suggested go into effect, more jedi would stop wanting the pve option and get back to acting like real jedi.
once you are in the FRS all safe guards are off.

While I see your idea's as being very creative and well thought out, I don't think Jedi should have any sort of break at all. We chose this life, we also understood that being Jedi means risk at any given time. Under no circumstance should that ever change. The way things are now, I have to think carefully at what I am going to do when I log my jedi. I pre-think my course of action before I set out for a day of adventure. I love the feeling of having to look over my shoulder constantly. That is the only reason I continue to log my Jedi in the first place. The more we as Jedi ask for concession's to be made the more chance we stand to be nerfed into a starting profession. Iimagine one day, there will be a training saber in every new character's inventory
If I want to partake in "hassle-free" PvE content, I just log my alt

It's simple really, if you don't want to PvP, play your alt. If you want to be a jedi, but don't want to PvP, this game isn't for you.

I am posting this here because this idea will affect you, and I value the opinions stated on this forum. I am also asing for you to add to this list anything that you feel would keep the balance going. One aspect would be to allow 2 person BH teams to attack a mark. Basically, one BH has the mission, the mark is attackable by both BH's as long as they are within 300 m from eachother. Payouts would be split.
I just came up with this, let me know what you think:
This is for Jedi only (for now)
On-leave: Same as we are now. No visibility Gained.
Combattant: Decreased Timers, +5% force regen, Visibility Gained at normal rate.
Special Forces: Decreased Timers, +10% Force Regen, 5% damage increase, No decay of items on death, Visibility Gained at 50% increase. 5% decrease in SAC/Mind costs.
This reward you for increase risk, yet allows the PVE jedi to play unharrassed. The only drawback is that GCW would generate vis. That is the price for playing though.
here is my PvE Jedi "solution".
A jedi should get a ONE TIME IRREVOCABLE option to be pve only.
PvE Jedi get:
25% damage reduction on all attacks.
10% less regen than pvp Jedi
5% longer timers than PvP Jedi
Death penalty on cloning.
25%xp reduction.
Maintenance Cost (in XP) for gen4 saber cert.
In return they dont ever have to pvp again or be bountiedand are restricted to combatant or on leave status only. No SF since they want to be PvE Jedi.
That has been my response from the beginning, but read the jedi forum and see what they are crying for. This is a comprimise

well for a guy like yourself that does not have a jedi you could not understand that Jedi is my main Toon if i wanted PVP i would play a game that was all PVP.

First off, I apologize for my curt response. Compromise? Haven't the devs compromised enough? No more perma-death, no more skill loss, no more saber tef, no more gtefs, no more names on terms, no more xp for PvE death, a planet to hide on. I'm not saying that I disagreed with any of these (except Kashyyyk), but somewhere the line has to be drawn.
It's mind-boggling at how someone picks up jedi and then expects that they should be allowed to play without thethreat of BH's. How they want to experience the game with their jedi. Well guess what? Experiencing the game with their jedi means experiencing it with the threat of BH's.
I apologize Jacella if my frustration seems directed at you. It is not.

You are right, I do not have a jedi. But you should understand that your main toon is PvP enabled at all times. For you, when you play your jedi, this game is all PvP.
i did my grind the old way and i liked it.i hate that you have to be in a group to get any xp. why do you have to be in a group? we have been beat to hell and back. give back some of our powers and i'll agree to almost anything.

Dallow, I know exactly how you feel. The fact remains that the devs will continue to make jedi easier and then nerf to "balance". Jedi isn't on hard-mode anymore, and many of us want that back. With the choices I have laid out, this lets the people like you and I enjoy the challenges of combat at the next level, while the people that just want a glow bat can enjoy their game too. Seriously, I know your reputation and you know Jazi. We appreciate the challenge of a full template kill more than some 120k paddy. We want to beat the best of the best, not some whiner that will send us hate tells. This gives us the option to weed out those unworthy and select the cream of the crop. The bonuses they will receive and the bonuses the BH's will get (2 man teams once again) will balance nicely. The pvp will be better and the rewards richer.
Unless they go back to pre-cu standards, this is the only solution I have seen that might work to improve the overall game quality.
I see what you're saying, but I feel that those that are 'unworthy' shouldn't be playing jedi in the first place. Maybe if the PvE jedi didn't get an extra character slot as well, but that isn't possible in your solution as they get to pick when they want to be PvE jedi.
